Pacifi Bluetooth Pacifier – A Pacifier That Will Send Your Child’s Temperature to Your Smartphone

Pacifi Bluetooth PacifierWhat will they think of next? Last week we’ve seen a great new device for iPhones, the Mophie Space Pack, a battery, case and storage device that attaches to your iPhone 5/5S to improve it. Now we’ve stumbled across the Pacifi Bluetooth Pacifier, a pacifier with a thermometer that will send the information to your smartphone through Bluetooth connection. Pretty innovative, isn’t it?

Pacifi Bluetooth Pacifier

Blue Maestro, a UK company, created a pacifier that also works as a thermometer that will track your infant’s temperature over time and send all the information it gathers to the parent’s smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. The company calls it the first smart pacifier.

Co-founder Kristin Hancock knows very well how hard it is to take a sick baby’s temperature and how difficult it is to track all the readings and medication. Pacifi is meant to put the parent’s mind at ease and help them through a rough time, by giving the parent full control over their child’s monitoring.

Pacifiers with thermometer inside aren’t new, but this one is, due to its Bluetooth technology. The device is very low-power, thus it is safe to use around infants; it is dishwater-proof and the app that needs to be downloaded when you buy the device is free.

The app allows recording of temperature and also medication usage, and the information gathered can be shared with doctors, nannies, family members and whoever needs to have access to such information. If the Pacifi Bluetooth Pacifier is lost, you can track it down with the help of the app.

Pacifi Bluetooth Pacifier is compatible with Android and iOS smartphones. Blue Maestro stated that the product will be available on the markets in the first half of 2014 and will cost around $33. If you’re interested in such a device, you can register for the product on the Blue Maestro site.

What are your thoughts on the Pacifi Bluetooth Pacifier?
