A sacred biblical manuscript was recently discovered by scientists.
STATES CHRONICLE – In Israel, a biblical object has been stored. Scientists claim it looks like a burnt stick, but it actually contains unveiled sacred information. They have recently discovered that this ancient biblical scroll was part of a well-known copy of a biblical text, important for both Christians and Jews. This crumpled manuscript revealed lines from the biblical text the Five Books of Moses.
Torah is the cornerstone of Judaism and the Christians’ Old Testament. This ancient biblical scroll divulges to researchers stunning information. The format of the text and the letters are the same as the text of sacred Torah. Not only scientists are the ones to be amazed, but also men of religion who are, not only believers but also knowledgeable in this particular matter.
After chemists have thoroughly analyzed this piece of biblical history, they found out that it dates back to the 3rd or 4th century. Keeping that in mind, scientists claim that other biblical manuscripts from Torah are called Dead Sea Scrolls. Those passages detain valuable information, just like the one recently discovered, but they are even older than this one. The sacred passages date back to the 2nd century or even earlier. The difference that concerns the scientists is that these scrolls diverge from the original version of the Torah known today. This fact can only point out that they were written before the Torah was fully systematized.
At a news conference in Israel, Pnina Shor, an official of the Israel Antiquities Authority called this ancient biblical scroll to be a miracle appearing from nowhere. This really valuable manuscript brought a change for men of religion. Shor argues that she and her team were amazed to find out that the scroll is a manuscript. Other important information regarding this finding is to be reported in a study which Shor’s team will publish.
The ancient biblical scroll was found in 1970 in En-Gedi, a Jewish village ruined by flames around the year 600. A team of archaeologists identified a Holy Ark inside the local’s synagogue. The Holy Ark represents the console where the holy book Torah is kept.
The ark from En-Gedi stored crumpled debris that had once been holy biblical scrolls. Scientists achieved to give a high-resolution version of a burnt scroll, through a CT scan. Men of science developed a digital 3D version of the ancient biblical scroll, searching on its surface for inked letters. The resulting images were digitally transformed into a 2D material and then put together. The result was the text of five rolls of the manuscript.
Isn’t it amazing how scientists nowadays manage to read things off a burnt piece of paper dating back to 3rd century? Science evolved in an impressive way. Do you think that other biblical mysteries are soon to be discovered?
