Bendable or foldable display seems to be a very new and unique concept. However, many people do not know the concept behind this technology and they tend to spread confusing information about it.
Both the Korean companies, Samsung and LG have already developed bendable displays. Even though this new technology is already developed, it can take quite some time for the technology to actually become accessible to the consumers.
Even before Samsung manufactured Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4, the bendable displays were ready. There were speculations that S3 and then S4 would come out with foldable and indestructible display. However, it didn’t happen. Recent rumors have shown that both LG and Samsung have cut down their dedication towards building flexible display smartphones and tablets citing different production issues.
The world of technology is consistently growing. It will not take much time when you will see these amazing displays available in the local market. The recent news that comes from the Samsung camp is that they are working on a tablet that will feature a bendable display. They have already filed a patent for the display. Here is the image:
The image shows a bendable display and one of its parts is folded which appears to be on-screen keyboard. We are wondering what would be the name of the tablet that will feature a foldable display. It can very well be Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 under making. Samsung is continuously working on the foldable display for better user performance. The flexible display tablet should be available for consumers by 2014.
Still, we are not sure whether the tablet under construction is really going to be the Galaxy Tab 4 and we are not sure whether the device will be available by 2014. We do hope that the technology of bendable display becomes available soon. Until then we will wait anxiously to hear more from the rumor mill.
