Google has been bringing about changes to the way people would see and feel their applications as well as web portals. YouTube, Hangouts, Gmail and Maps are the applications that are used extensively on Android devices and nearly all of these have had their share of updates in recent times. Now there is a change they have effected on their online store or Google Play Store as well.
The new Google Play Store version 4.4.21 has a new look and feel to it brought about by the slide out system of navigation. This same type of menu option is found on YouTube as well as many other applications. Apart from the externally visible changes, there are some internal changes that has also been brought about to enhance the way it performs. The above version should however not be confused with the new iteration of Android, that is version 4.4 KitKat that could be released anytime now.
Google Play Store now also includes Newsstand which would cater for news buffs and will be a lot like the music, news. books and TV section that the app store hosts. The application for Google Play store is yet to be released though but is expected to make its debut at the app store once KitKat is released. It could be a paid application, which means readers or users would need to take on a subscription for the service. But then, these are all unconfirmed bits of information and are subject to change.
However, users perhaps would be more interested in seeing Google release the KitKat version than an update being provided to the Google Play Store. This is expected this month itself as per the grapevine talk. There are millions of anxious users waiting for this release to happen. For all of them, October 31 should be the final date within which time both the KitKat and Nexus should find light of day.
