HTC One Max: Verizon and AT&T Branded Models Leaked Online

October 21, 2013 By Janet Vasquez Leave a Comment

Rumors about the HTC Verizon model had been around for quite some time now and as usual the most effective proof of its existence by way of a photograph has been uploaded by none other than EVleaks. They have not only posted the Verizon variant but also an AT&T variant which is a surprise, for this had not been talked about till now.

HTC One Max

Looking at the images, the thing that comes to notice right away in both the versions of the One Max is the replacement of the HTC logo by the individual logo of the carrier’s retailing the set. In between the back and home button you would find the HTC logo in case of the HTC One line of smartphone devices. Not so with the One Max where one would instead be greeted with the individual logo of the carrier concerned. Verizon has always been known for their keenness to stamp their logo in every conceivable space on the device though AT&T has also followed suit this time. What is even more surprising is the manner in which the company logo has been replaced with that of the carrier this time with the One Max.

For specification the HTC One Max shares a lot of similarity with its other stable mates in the ‘One’ range, namely the HTC One and One Mini. To begin with, the One Max is powered by the Snapdragon 600 chip and comes with 2 GB of RAM. The screen is of 1080p resolution while measuring 6 inch when measured diagonally. The speakers are front facing and the metal shell which the main device is packed in gives it a sealed up effect.

However, the real surprise lurks along the rear where the case holds the fingerprint sensor located just beneath the 4 ‘Ultrapixel’ camera. There also is a microSD card slot which gives additional storage capacity to up to 32 GB though for reaching to it, the rear cover needs to be popped out.. The battery is rated at 3300 mAh and not removable. The OS is Android 4.3 with the latest Sense 5.5 running over it.

While there has been no official confirmation from AT&T for their HTC model, Verizon and Sprint have confirmed the same. We can be sure of the sets being available by end October for other regions while American carriers may come out with their versions a bit later.

HTC One Max Features Could Just Be An Enlarged HTC One

October 1, 2013 By Jack M. Robinson Leave a Comment

Those who might have been expecting a whole new experience with the HTC One Max device might be up for some major disappointment. This since not much of a difference is to be expected between the HTC One and the HTC One Max if the latest update given by the Taiwanese maker of the device is to be believed. Pocket-Lint had the opportunity to speak to some people inside HTC involved with the HTC One Max.

HTC-One-Max

If this be true then the One Max would come with the same Snapdragon 600 processor that powers the current HTC One device if the statement of it being similar to the latter is to be taken for fact. It would however have a 5.9 inch display size which will be 1.2 inch more than the HTC One.  Another bit of difference from the HTC One is that the HTC One Max would have a microSD card slot, something that is not present with the HTC One.

So far as the operating system that the device will run, it is going to be Android 4.3 along with the Sense 5.5 user interface on top, which will mark a step up over the Sense version 5.0 now running with the HTC One. This would give the device additional features like Zoe capture, something aided by the Ultrapixel camera to match this feature. It would also have BlinkFeed service as well that will provide the user with the latest information that will keep the user updated.

Another bit of information that has also come to the fore is that the HTC One Max would be available at the retailer stores not before end October or early November even though the device is expected to be formally announced around the middle of this month itself. Unofficial sources maintain the HTC One Max is likely to be launched on 14 October.

Another bit of information yet to be confirmed is the device coming with a fingerprint scanner. If that happens, then the HTC One Max would be the first device after the Apple iPhone 5s to have this feature. This will also mark the Android device to have the fingerprint security feature integrated into it. There is Google with their Nexus 5 launch event that is also making the world wait for. These are the interesting launches in the smartphone category that the customers are waiting for with a lot of apprehension.

HTC One Max Rumored To Launch on Oct 15 Release Date

September 30, 2013 By Jack M. Robinson Leave a Comment

Big screen smartphones or phablets have emerged as the hot new battleground for smartphone manufacturers. There is plenty of action now being witnessed in this segment that till now was dominated by only Samsung. Now HTC too is eager to stake a claim of this segment with its HTC One Max device which is believed to be launched soon in just about a few weeks’ time. Yes, within the next 2 weeks we can witness the HTC One Max release date.

One Max

HTC surely is yet to commit to any specific launch schedule though sighting of the device in near perfect form on a regular basis has led many to believe a formal launch is not too far off. Take for instance the recent leak of the One Max device in the Chinese website Weibo that is claiming the launch date of the HTC One Max to be around the middle of October.

From what has emerged thanks to the series of leaks that we have had so far of the device, the big screen version of the HTC One is going to have a 5.9 inch display, something that had been first reported once again in the Chinese site TENAA. This is an organization which carries out certification work for such devices and the HTC One Max is reported to have been cleared for use in China is what the web site reports.

From the photographs posted by Phone Arena it appears the HTC One Max would have a screen resolution of 1080p while the core processor is a quad core chip clocking at 2.3 GHz. The other features of the phone that seems evident include 16 GB of internal storage along with 2 GB of RAM. Also, like it’s smaller sibling, the HTC One, the One Max too is expected to feature an UltraPixel camera or maybe an advanced version of it to allow for even better photography. Also, in what is likely to emerge as a standard feature in most high end mobile devices of future, the upcoming HTC One Max is also speculated to come with a finger print scanner though it remains to be seen how deeply it is integrated with the OS along with other apps. As of now, it is only the iPhone 5S that features a fingerprint scanner that is hidden underneath the home button.

Another very active leakster, @evleaks, reports the HTC One Max would be supported by Sprint a leading cellular carrier in the US. Users would have to hold their breath for just a few more weeks for the actual release of the HTC One Max.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs HTC One Max- the Battle Ensues Even More As Release Date Nears

September 29, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

The iPhone 5S has arrived and the Google Nexus 5 is going to arrive in the next month. However, one of the much awaited phones is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which is going to arrive in October. The Galaxy Note 3 is a phablet device. Though iPhone 5S and Google Nexus 5 are going to pit against the Note 3, the real competition is going to come from another phablet phone which is the HTC One Max. Well, even the HTC One Max is going to arrive in the middle of October.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a 5.7inch phablet device and the HTC One Max is 6inch phablet device. The HTC One has got which released at the beginning of the year is expected to come out with variants like HTC One Mini and HTC One Max. The original HTC One surprisingly came out to give good competition the Galaxy S4. Here we have got a picture that shows you both HTC One Max and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 kept beside each other.

galaxy note 3 vs htc one max

HTC One Max was expected to arrive in third quarter of the year. However, recently it has been known that the HTC One Max is going to be launched on October 15th. The news has come from Pocket-lint. The Etrade news reveals that the phablet will be unraveled in the home country on October 17th. The dates which we are talking here are only announcement dates and not the dates when the devices will be out in the market for sale.

Once the HTC One Max debuts in the mid-October, it will go on sale during the later days of October. If this comes true, it would mean that Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which is expected to release early in October will be available for sales for several weeks in Europe and US. This will give the Korean branded smartphone an edge over the Taiwan branded smartphone.

The flagship HTC One had arrived weeks before Galaxy S4. However, the company did not advertise the product well and in no time Galaxy S4 was able to surpass the popularity of HTC One. AT&T will be launching the Galaxy Note 3 on October 1. On October 2nd, the Note 3 will come on T-Mobile. Sprint will be selling it on from October 4th. Verizon will be selling the device on October 10th.  US Cellular is yet to announce on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date on their network.

HTC One Max will come with a large 6inch display that offers 1080p full HD resolution. It is packed with Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor. It has got the trademark Ultrapixel camera. It has also got Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS backed with HTC Sense 5.5 user interface.

HTC One Max Release Date to Feature Fingerprint Scanner, Leaked Image

September 10, 2013 By Jack M. Robinson 2 Comments

Release date of HTC One max is expected to happen this month. Finger print scanners have never emerged to be an indispensable part of smartphone devices so far even though the technology has been there for quite some time now. There is also the instance of Motorola having included a finger print sensor on their Atrix 4G device launched in 2011. However, that remained a one off sort of thing so that finger print scanners never became an integral part of smartphone as camera has over the time.

htc-one-max-fingerprint-scanner

However, fingerprint tech seems to be back in vogue all over again thanks to rumors of Apple including the same on their upcoming iPhone version. Apple’s acquisition of a mobile security company AuthenTec in 2012 further reinforces the belief. But then Apple is not the only company to be working on fingerprint tech for their smartphone device since a leaked image of the upcoming HTC One Max also seems to point in the same direction.

The image which first appeared in a China based site, ePrice shows a HTC One Max with a square glassed area just below the rear camera. This, the site believes is the fingerprint scanner though HTC is yet to confirm such a development. Notably, an HTC executive had earlier refuted the image supposed to be that of the HTC One Max leaked by @evleaks which lacked a fingerprint scanner. This makes us believe there might be something into the image brought about by ePrice.

The fingerprint tech was also supposed to be part of the Galaxy Note 3 package as well though it is said to have been shelved at the last moment owing to non-availability of suitable hardware in adequate numbers to allow for the device to make a September debut. There have also been similar rumors with the iPhone as well which was said to have been delayed due to difficulty in incorporating the fingerprint tech in the smartphone.

None of the above have been confirmed, including the image purported to be that of the One Max. However, what also cannot be denied is that such a feature will no doubt add to the functionality of the device. For not only will it function as a secure and reliable authentication method but can also negate the use of passwords in many application under suitable software support.

HTC One Max Release Date to Launch With Android 4.3 And Sense 5.5

September 7, 2013 By Jack M. Robinson Leave a Comment

The HTC One Max will be the Taiwanese company’s answer to the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Also, while the device has had quite a fair share of leaks and speculations, the latest on it claim that the One Max will start out with Android 4.3, the newest iteration of Android.

Rumor mongers also claim the device will ship out with a new Sense user interface, version 5.5. While Android 4.3 for a new device does make a lot of sense, it is the Sense 5.5 UI that is sure to raise a lot of eye brows. This since the current Sense 5 is already considered a considerable improvement over the previous iteration and nobody expected there could be a still newer version ready for launch so soon.

htc one max

The above leak though is yet to be confirmed and has its origins in RB Men, with the folks behind it also claiming a good chunk of code has been dedicated to a rumored fingerprint sensor that the device is believed to come equipped with. A fingerprint sensor is all set to be as common a feature as a camera in present day smartphones and is believed to make the device all the more secured.

Among the recent high profile devices that are rumored to feature an integrated fingerprint sensor include the Galaxy Note 3, as well as the iPhone 5S. While it’s almost certain the feature will be missing in the Note 3, it remains to be seen if the upcoming iPhone version keeps its date with the specified feature.

Meanwhile, there has been no specific launch dates mentioned for the One Max though with an event as big as the IFA 2013 just round the corner, we sure can expect to be pampered with more details on the device.

But this is for sure that HTC One max release date will happen this month.

HTC One Max Launch to Happen this Month after Galaxy Note 3

September 3, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

Did you hear about the news that the HTC One Max is expected to arrive in the last quarter of this year? If yes, then you will be surprised to know that the HTC One Max is expected to come out in the market sooner than you expected. The reason why we are saying this is that recent leaks have shown that the HTC One Max was found passing three Wi-Fi certifications to take on the Galaxy Note 3.

When the HTC One had come out in the market earlier than the Galaxy S4, it had good time to grab the attention of the audience. However, because of poor advertising strategy, it failed to capitalize on a very favorable situation. Then the Galaxy S4 arrived and managed to grab the numero uno spot thanks to its powerful advertising strategy and impressive specs.

htc one max variants

Now, HTC and Samsung battle is going to happen again soon. This time it is going to be battle between the phablet devices from both the brands. First it was thought that the HTC One Max is still in its developmental stage and even though it has competitive specs like that Note 3, it will arrive later than the Samsung counterpart. After that, it was rumored that the HTC One Max will appear in the fourth quarter of 2013 and now analysts are feeling that the Taiwanese manufacturer may time the release of HTC One Max in September to compete with Galaxy Note 3.

The HTC One Max will not only compete with the Note 3 but also with Sony Xperia Z Ultra. The recently leaked specs of HTC One Max show that it is going to house a 6 inch display which is smaller than Xperia Z Ultra’s display. It is going to be a full HD display with support for 1080p. It will be powered with Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor that will deliver a clocking speed of 2.3GHz. It has also got a 2GB RAM onboard and it will receive its power from a massive 3200mAh battery.

The September 4 is the date tech enthusiasts are concentrating on, as Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 3 tomorrow. Recently, three HTC One Max handsets were found passing the Wi-Fi Alliance. Fresh rumors are doing rounds that there are going to be three variants of the HTC One Max.

Here are the three expected HTC One Max variants. The HTC T6_U will be a device that will not support LTE connectivity. The HTC T6_ULA that will support Advanced LTE connectivity. The third variant is T6_WL which is going to be release in North America.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Release Date in September Ahead of HTC One Max

August 25, 2013 By Troy Rubenson 1 Comment

This year we came to know that out of nowhere HTC has become one of major rivals for Samsung. The HTC One has been one of the most purchased smartphones of the year after Galaxy S4 from Samsung. Samsung is now working on the Galaxy Note 3, release date of which is expected to be unveiled in September. However, HTC has got the HTC One Max to compete with the Note 3 but the competition won’t be that fierce as most thought.

The HTC One Max release date is not going to happen in September but the phone will be unveiled in the last quarter of this year. The Galaxy Note 3 will be launched at the IFA Event which will be held on 4th of September at Berlin, Germany.

htc-one-max

The anticipation for the HTC One Max phablet is increasing day by day. The specs of the HTC One Max seem very promising as it will sport a huge display of 5.9inches. The full HD will be powered with a 2.3GHz quad-core CPU and 2GB RAM. It will house HTC’s very own Ultrapixel camera. It will run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and like the Galaxy Note 3, it will also come with a stylus.

HTC One Max was expected to come out alongside the Galaxy Note 3 at the IFA event. This is not going to happen. By the time HTC One Max comes out in the market in 2014, the Galaxy Note 3 may lead the phablet market. However, if the specs of the HTC One Max turns out to be better than the Note 3, surely Samsung will have to do something to stay ahead of competition from rising brands.

The HTC One as well as the HTC One Mini are plagued with battery issue. So, HTC needs to work on this area to make sure it does not disappoint its fans. Hence, the HTC One Max should come out with a battery life. According to the rumors, the HTC One Max is expected to be powered by a massive 3300mAh battery.

It has been learnt through Focus Taiwan that the CEO of HTC, Ben Ho is planning to roll out to two or three HTC Desire models in the third quarter of this year and in the last quarter a new variant of the HTC One will be announced. We feel that this new variant is surely the HTC One Max.

American actor, Robert Downey, Jr has been signed up HTC for promoting the new phablet. So, we can expect a swanky launch for the HTC One Max and it would also be interesting to see the after-launch promotional campaign. He has been signed up as the ‘Instigator of Change’ campaigner on a two year agreement for 1 billion dollars.

By releasing the Note 3 in September, Samsung will be sticking to launching almost around the same when previous flagship models were released. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is releasing almost a month or two before the rival HTC One Max. So, if HTC fails to promote its newest flagship device well, chances are that the sales of Galaxy Note 3 can affect the launch and sales of HTC One Max.

Also, by the time HTC One Max comes in the market, new models like Moto X, LG G2 and iPhone 5S will already be competing against each other. So, HTC needs to plan its strategy well. So, let us look forward for the release date of both the phablets, HTC One Max and Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

5.9 Inch HTC One Max Leaked Photo Surfaces

August 5, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

Out of nowhere, HTC has risen up as a competitive brand. The HTC One is the second best smartphone currently available in the market after Galaxy S4. And at present the Taiwanese tech company is working on a phablet device to take on Samsung’s phablet, Galaxy Note 3.

HTC-One-Max-eprice

Certainly there is a competition brewing between Samsung and HTC. Just like Samsung released the Galaxy S4 and its variants like Galaxy S4 Mini, even HTC released the HTC One Mini several weeks after HTC One came out in the market. According to a Chinese website ePrice which has announced many leaks in the past has got the latest rumored photo of HTC One Max. The device is code named as HTC T6. Here is the leaked image of the HTC One Max.

Previously we had reported about HTC working on a phablet device called HTC T6. However, the product will be shipped with the name HTC One Max. The HTC One Max is one inch larger than the HTC one. It has full HD 5.9inch screen. However, sad thing it will feature the same pixel resolution that is available on HTC One. This means the meaty device’s display clarity will be less sharp.

The HTC One Max will also come with an upgraded CPU. It is going to be powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU which can deliver a clocking speed of 2.3GHz. The HTC One has got Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU. ePrice has also reported that HTC One Max will be available in two variants, one will be a standard edition and another will be dual-SIM edition. The dual-SIM HTC One Max will come with non-removable battery. It is too early to predict whether the said rumor will come true or not. However, the leaked photo definitely seems to be genuine.

Other specs of the HTC One Max remain more or less same as that of HTC One. It has got 2GB RAM, 4MP ultrapixel camera at the rear and front-facing camera of 2.1MP. When you look carefully at the photo, you will see two front-facing BOOMSOUND speakers which are also available in HTC One and HTC One Mini. The internal storage capacity of the HTC One Max is 16GB. It will also come with external memory slot. Also, it is powered by the same battery of 3300mAh which is also present on the original HTC One.

Nothing is yet known about the OS version on the HTC One Max. However, we expect the phone will be shipped with Android 4.2 along with the latest edition of HTC Sense.

September is the month when we will see couple of new handsets and tablets come out to the light during the IFA trade show. HTC One Max is also one of them. During the same time, Samsung is scheduled to unleash the Galaxy Note 3. Going by what HTC is offering we can understand that the HTC One will be available in small, medium and large version. Also, there are speculations doing rounds that the original HTC One will again be shipped into the market in various colors like red, blue and gold.

Find out HTC One Max is Going to Offer You

July 18, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

Like Samsung released variants of Galaxy S4, HTC is also working on building the HTC One brand. The HTC One Mini’s launch is just around the corner. Another device up in the sleeve of HTC is the powerful version of the HTC One i.e. HTC One Max. The said phone is going to be larger than the original HTC One.

htconephablet

The HTC One which was launched in April is undoubtedly one of the best phones of the year and even it is one of the best smartphones ever made. The HTC One Max is also going to be announced officially as the flagship device. The HTC One Max is also called the HTC T6. It is going to compete against the Galaxy Note 3. Both are going to be released at the same time. The HTC One Max should be launch appropriately. Galaxy Note series phones are immensely popular. If the launching is delayed, the Galaxy Note 3 can completely affect the sales of HTC One Max.

The HTC One Max is going to don a 5.9 inches full HD display with 1080p resolution. It is going to be powered with a quad-core CPU which can be the Snapdragon 800 CPU. It will also come with a powerful camera with HTC’s Ultrapixel camera technology. It will sport a metal body like the one present on the original HTC.

Whether it is going to come with a stylus, we are not sure. Whether it is going to come with the newest version of Android i.e. 5.0 Key Lime Pie, we are not sure. The Android 5.0 is not likely to be seen before November. So, it might as well have Android 4.3 Jelly Bean which will be rolled in the coming week.

Before HTC One came out in the market, HTC devices were not offered by major carriers. HTC One first arrived on AT&T and then it came to other carriers like Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon in the summer. Consider that it is a phablet device; many carriers will not be interested in selling right away. Also, it is going to pit against Galaxy Note 3, this can be also one reason why carriers won’t be selling the device.

As far as the price is concerned, the down payment offered by major carriers won’t be less than $250. This is going to be same with Galaxy Note 3 which will be available for $299.99. If the stylus is not available on the device, the cost of the device will be less.

Surely, the HTC One Max is going to be a powerful device but the buyers should be considerate before they make a decision on buying it. HTC is surely a quite popular brand but it is yet to show that it can provide extended support to its devices. For instance, both HTC Desire HD and Driod Incredible 2 were provided with failed software as update, the Sense 5 update was also not available readily for the HTC One S users and the HTC Rezound which came out with decent specs was not provided proper support.
