New iPad 5 And iPad Mini 2 Release Date Expected Soon, Well Before The Holiday Season

October 6, 2013 By Jack M. Robinson 2 Comments

Apple has already launched the new iOS 7 which can well be considered a significant development considering this is the first time the company’s mobile operating system has been provided with a thorough once over. That is not all for we have already seen the California company launch two new iPhone versions, the flagship iPhone 5s as well the budget oriented iPhone 5c which is another first for the company. That is not the end of it all as there still are plenty more to look forward to, what with the new iPad 5 as well as the iPad Mini 2 still forthcoming from Apple.

New iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5 are both a continuation series of sorts, of their previous respective sibling models. Also, being the next generation models, they are expected to come with additional features.

apple-ipad-5-vs-ipad-mini-2

Given the past trend of Apple and their product launch practice, it has been noticed that after the iPhone 5 had been launched there was the iPad 4 and iPad Mini that they launched soon after and before the holiday season. This year too shouldn’t be any exception and now that there already is the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c in the market, the iPad tablet series shouldn’t be too far off.

The most interesting feature of the iPad Mini 2 is going to be its retina display. And so far as the iPad 5 goes it would be advanced hardware of the device that consumers are looking out for. It would also be a new look and design of the iPad 5 that should give consumers a point to buy the device. Thinner bezels along the sides as well as an overall reduction is size will no doubt further enhance the appeal of the Apple flagship tablet. Also, there is no reason to believe both the tablets won’t be provided with a big performance push with the new A7 chip likely to be at the center of it all.

Another side effect that consumers can expect due the launch of the new Apple products would be a lowered price tag of the existing models from Apple. New buyers could expect to get their iPad 4 and the iPad Mini at reduced rates now with the new products being launched.

iPad 5 Release Date and iPad Mini 2 Leaks Discussed

September 22, 2013 By Jack M. Robinson Leave a Comment

All the rumors and speculations that have been holding forth for the past few months have come to a halt with Apple finally unveiling the latest iPhone versions. However, this can well be considered to be just the beginning as Apple has several more to pamper us in the coming weeks. What started with the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c can well end with the OS X Maverick as well as a new MacBook Pro with the new iPad devices thrown in between. Of course a surprise or two from the Cupertino company can’t be ruled out altogether as Apple is also rumored to come with a new Apple TV as well along with maybe an Apple 4K TV too.

ipad

However, coming back to what seems more imminent, the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2, both has gone through another round of leak. And who best could have pulled off the feat than the man of the moment, Sonny Dickson who is already credited with having accurately predicted the latest iPhone devices. The basic strategy too is the same with the latest leaks as here too Dickson is depending on the rear shells to conclude what the devices will ultimately be like.

So what can be concluded with a fair degree of surety is that the new iPad 5 release date will be seen sporting a similar design philosophy as the iPad Mini characterized by thinner bezels along the sides. The new full sized iPad will also be a bit smaller along the sides than its predecessor thereby giving the impression of it incorporating a smaller display though the fact is, it will still be offering a 9.7 inch sized screen. The iPad Mini 2 though will be similar to what the first gen version was though the biggest change it will be coming with be the inclusion of a retina display. In any case, Apple is likely to depend on anodized aluminum for its rear shell.

Apple though is yet to reveal any firm dates for the launch of the new iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2 though what seems imminent is that we are just weeks away from being treated with the brand new tablet devices.

iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 Release Date on Oct 15 by Apple?

September 19, 2013 By Jack M. Robinson Leave a Comment

If rumors currently doing the rounds are to be believed, Apple has lined up an event on the 15th of October. The Cupertino based company is expected to launch its new generation iPad devices this fall and the October 15 period could mark the release date of iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2.

Of course Apple hasn’t endorsed any of this so far. Further, that this bit of news has to be taken with a pinch of salt is evident from the fact that it has its origins in the French site Mac Generation that has to its credit both hits and misses in equal measure when it comes to Apple predictions.

Apple

Apple so far has not confirmed when it is going to launch its next gen iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 devices, except that those can be expected towards fall. In fact, Apple hasn’t even confirmed if there will indeed be a new iPad Mini 2 up for launch this fall though an iPad 5 is almost a surety. Another area of uncertainty surrounding the new iPad Mini is whether it will include a retina display if it is launched this year.

Apple has just launched the new iPhone 5 devices, the 5s and 5c though another event planned just about a month later can’t be ruled out. The company has followed a somewhat similar itinerary last year when it had launched the iPhone 5 in September followed by a more elaborate launch event that yielded the new iPad, and Mac devices along with of course the new iPad Mini for the first time. Apple is also scheduled to launch the new OS X Maverick this year and it could well be included in the Oct 15 event as well.

However, in the end, let’s not forget all of this is still in the rumor stages and nothing stands confirmed regarding the iPad 5 release date.

iPad 5 Release Date, Display In Production; Rumored Thinner, Lighter

September 11, 2013 By Jack M. Robinson Leave a Comment

The display of Apple’s iPad 5 is reported to be in production and it is learned the suppliers are working on a thinner touch screen to make the device lighter and thinner, equipped with design of iPad Mini to some extent.

Earlier leaks about the so-called iPad 5 reveals the tablet to have a new look, inspired by the design of iPad Mini and possibly with a new screen technology on it’s release date.

Apple's iPad 5 Display In Production; Rumored Thinner, Lighter

The Wall Street Journal writes, “The same touch-panel technology that made the iPad mini thin and light will likely feature in the next iPad, which is currently being produced by Apple Inc.’s Asian suppliers.”

WSJ also claims Apple may be releasing the iPad 5 this fall. GottaBeMobile.com writes the new Apple products to be launching in coming months are iPhone 5S, iPad 5, iPad Mini 2, iOS 7 and OS X Mavericks. Now, if it is believed the display of the new tablet is in production, then could it arrive sooner and not later. It also points for a separate launching event for the iPad 5 and not clubbed with the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

Now that iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C has been announced and it is expected to be released by 18th September. If this is so, the iOS 7 may be released within a week or so after the event. This will open the doors for the iPad 5 and also for the upcoming iPad Mini 2.

Both the devices are expected to be run by the latest operating system. The last iPad was launched in October 2012, just ahead of the busy holiday season and Apple was able to sell large number of the tablets. This time too the same is expected from the iDevice giant. So watch out for a possible next month iPad 5 release date.

iPad 5, iPad Mini 2: Release Dates, Recent Rumors of Apple Tablets

September 10, 2013 By Jack M. Robinson Leave a Comment

There is a lot of excitement that the upcoming release date dates of Apple tablet devices have generated, and rightfully so in light of the immense popularity that these enjoy. Adding fuel to the fire is the recent spate of rumors concerning the iPad 5 as well as the iPad Mini 2 that have hit the virtual world.

Take for instance the most recent of these that provides us with a generous glimpse of what to expect with the next generation Apple tablets. While there is no dearth of rumors centered on the new iPad range, the latest of these courtesy of Sonny Dickson does provide some new light on what the new Apple tablet will be like from a design perspective.

Apple-iPad-5

Now Sonny Dickson is a name that has become synonymous to leaks on all things Apple. He manages to do that by maintaining close contacts not with Apple directly but with the people who supply Apple the components that go into the making of their final products. Off late, Sonny has posted some pictures that give us a clear proof of the iPad 5 being significantly smaller in size compared to the iPad 4. The picture is much like a comparator with the iPad 5 set above the iPad 4 and the difference is quite distinct and evident.

The difference in the design is the significantly narrow bezel that the iPad 5 incorporates. This makes the tablet as a whole as well as the display look smaller even though in reality the actual display screen are of the same dimension. The difference in bezel is only on the sides and not for the top and bottom of the device. The power button appears to be smaller in the photo and volume as well as orientation keys have been given a different shape which is more akin to the iPad Mini.

Coming to the thickness aspect of the two, what is also evident from the leaked images is that the iPad 5 will also be thinner than the iPad 4. The speakers have been left at the back of the set as in the case of iPad 4 albeit the grilles have been given an additional angular layout.

As for the release date of the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2, the widely accepted viewpoint is that Apple will be releasing them during fall though there are no specific launch dates available as yet. Apple has an event lined up on September 10 though that is likely to be reserved exclusively to the iPhone 5 and the budget iPhone 5C release date.

iPad 5 Release Date – Rumored to Arrive This Autumn from Apple

August 28, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

Since the iOS 7 has been already announced to arrive, by this fall, Apple Inc. is planning to release the iPad 5, and later on the iPad mini 2. It will be priced at about $620 and is expected to be lighter and leaner than any of its predecessors. The iPhone 5 will have an aluminum casing that will come in champagne gold. According to leaks from Apple, the iPad 5 may also have an aluminum casing with the same color.

apple-logo

However, all the information that is doing the rounds may be nothing but rumors, although these are based on credible information from staff members of the company. The iPad 5 will have a rear camera, just like its predecessor, but will have a higher megapixel capacity thanks to the new A7 processor and the new iOS operating system. Already the use of the new processor and operating system has been incorporated into the iPhone 5 which has made it leap, in terms of performance, compared to the predecessors. The same can be expected of the iPad 5. The device will also have GPS capability in the iPad packs.

iPad 5 release date is also rumored to offer up to 128 GB of RAM. The release of the iPad 5 will be set in a manner to try to beat the stiff competition that Apple is getting from Android tablet manufacturers. In China and other medium economies, Android devices have taken over the tablet and Smartphone markets. This will make it very difficult for Apple to penetrate these markets. In these markets, the penetration of Apple devices has been minimal, and they are looking for ways in which to turn this sad state of affairs around.

According to experts, Apple may get its market, which had been taken over by Samsung products, once they release the new iPad 5 and iPad mini 2. They will be a step ahead of Samsung when it comes to delivering top-notch personal computing and communications devices.

Rumors have it that Wacom, the company behind the S-pen, will also create a similar device for the new generation iPad. There are great applications which can use a stylus for creation and production of new media, and the iPad wants to incorporate these applications into their new devices. This may be the reason why there is a delay in the launch of the iPad 5 and iPad mini 2. For now speculations are rife, and this is the only information that users have to go by when trying to figure out the cost of a new iPad 5 or iPad mini 2.

The Apple iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C release dates are slated to be unveiled in the September. It is the same time when Samsung will unleash its Galaxy Note 3. Some are of the view that the even in which the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C will be unveiled, in the same event iPad 5 will be released too. Also, there is no major update on the iPad Mini 2. However, iPad Mini 2’s competitor, the new models of Amazon Kindle Fire are expected to come out in the market very soon.

iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 Real Shell Allegedly Leaked before it’s Release Date

August 25, 2013 By Jack M. Robinson Leave a Comment

Apple is expected to launch the new iPad 5 as well as the second gen iPad Mini soon. The iPad 5 release date is expected to happen this fall. Not surprisingly, the intervening period is marked by a series of leaks and rumors which no doubt will continue with all its fury until we get to see the tablets in flesh and blood.

ipad 5 minir ear

Take for instance the recent revelation of what is believed to be the rear shell of the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2. The two shells made of aluminum provide us with more than a glimpse of what the real thing will be like. What becomes immediately evident is that the new iPad 5 will be significantly thinner and hence lighter than the present gen version. This can be attributed to the incorporation of the same screen technology on the new iPad as is used in the iPad Mini where the screen sensor is included within the front panel itself.

That apart, the rear shell of the two upcoming Apple tablets include iPhone like gap along the bottom for the lightening connectors as well as the speakers facing downwards. The new iPad 5 is also widely speculated to come with thinner bezels, much along the lines of the iPad Mini. Perhaps the first thing that made people to get hooked on to the iPad Mini is its attractive looks and the same for the next iPad will no doubt do it a world of good. Of course this will also entail using the same software support for the 9.7 inch iPad as is present in the iPad Mini that will help the tablet to distinguish an unwanted tap from a purposeful one.

Apart from the iPad series of tablet devices, Apple is also expected to launch a new iPhone version this fall. There will also be a new budget iPhone version as well, all of which will be running Apple’s new iOS 7 operating system.

iPad 5, iPad Mini 2, iPhone 5S and the T-Mobile Promise – Here’s the Scoop

August 14, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

John Legere, the CEO of T-Mobile is hinting that apart from offering iPhone very soon the company will also be offering iPad. John did not confirm whether they will be selling iPad 5 or iPad Mini 2 but only indicated that they are in plan to expand its product line.

ipad--t-mobile

T-Mobile had started selling the iPhone 5 at the beginning of the year and since then it has sold around 1 million iPhone 5 devices. T-Mobile has been in the news for quite some time recently mainly because the firm is working on strengthening and expanding its LTE network. The iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2 are expected to come out with LTE connectivity. This indicates that the two new iDevices may be made available on T-Mobile network.

The new iPad 5 will sport a 9.7inch Retina Display which is the same one found on iPad 4. However, the iPad 5 which will sport a new design like that of iPad Mini is expected to be lighter than all its predecessor models.

There are mixed rumors going on about the iPad Mini 2. Some say that it will come with Retina Display while others say that it will come with regular display. Some say the device will be rolled out this year whereas some others feel the device will be available in 2014. Some say if the next iPad Mini comes with Retina Display, it will release in 2014 and if does not come with Retina Display, it will release later this year.

The iPhone 5S is expected to arrive as the next iPhone. According to the recent reports, the device is going to arrive in late September. The iPhone 5S will not look entirely different from the iPhone 5 but rather it will come with enhanced CPU and camera. Also, the Home button is going to house a fingerprint reader.

If T-Mobile starts selling iPad from this year, then the only leading carrier that has still not managed to offer an iPad is US Cellular. It is expected to offer the next gen iPhone from this year.

Apple iPad 5 Release Date Rumor Round Up – Specs, Features

July 31, 2013 By James Faulkner Leave a Comment

The iPad 5 is the next addition to Apple’s iPad family. The device is expected to hit the stands by the end third quarter or at the beginning of the fourth quarter. In fact, the iPad 5 is going to be the only iPad to be rolled out in 2013. The iPad Mini 2 release will not happen this year. We may see it arrive at the beginning of 2014.

Since the iPad 5 release date is rumored to arrive in September this year, US retailer Best Buy is already planning to sell a lot of iPad 5 tablets. Customers will be allowed to swap their older iPad 2 tablets and iPad 3 tablets to get the iPad 4 or the forthcoming iPad 5 or even avail cash credits. In order to bag the swapping deal, your older iiPad should be in proper working condition without any scratches or dents. If your iPad is in great condition, you can stand to cash in $200 credits or higher.

iPad 5 release date
So, if you are keeping eye on iPad 5 release date, you will surely benefit from the deal offered by Best Buy. The iPad 5 which is going to be powered with the latest iOS 7 will be available for $500. If you have got an older iPad which is in great condition, you will able to exchange your device and get the new iPad 5 only for $300 from Best Buy.

The iPad 5 will come with GF2 touchscreen display technology. The new display technology will make the device thinner and lighter as compared to its predecessor models. The display size is going to be 9.7inch and is going to sport a display resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels with a pixel density of 264ppi. It is believed that Apple will approach Samsung to build low-power LCD screens for the iPad 5 tablet. This means Apple will be severing ties with AU Optronics from Taiwan because of Retina Display production issue the company is facing for iPad Mini 2.

The GF2 technology replaces the older G/G touchscreen technology that was supplied with older iPad models. The GF2 technology was first brought to iPad Mini in 2012 and now it will brought to the large sized iPad 5 this year. We have got a leaked image of the iPad 5 along with the new display technology.

Apple will not be interested in launching the iPad Mini 2 this year because the production status of the device is quite slow which indicates that shipments will happen in December or later. Also, the iPad Mini 2 will not be cheaper than first gen iPad Mini which means it will fail to attract customers. Hence, it will be most suitable for Apple to release the product in the next year.

The first gen iPad Mini came without Retina Display and because of it many customer were dissatisfied. The demand for Retina Display on the next gen iPad Mini is high. The size of the battery of the 7.9inch iPad Mini can become a matter of concern because of Retina Display.

The iPad 5 will be not only borrowing the display screen technology from iPad Mini, it also going to take its design. This means the new iPad 5 will be slimmer than before. The iPad 5 is speculated to come with 8MP rear-facing camera. Also, Apple is rumored to roll out 128GB model of the iPad 5. So, customers will be able to avail 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB variants of iPad 5.

The iPad 4 which came out in October 2012 was launched only six months after the release of iPad 3.  Apple managed to squeeze out two tablets in the same year. However, this year we are going to see only one edition iPad which is the iPad 5. The iPhone 5 and the iPad 5 both are speculated to release around the same time in September this year.

iPad Mini 2 Release Date – iPad 5 Might Cause Mini Tab Launch Delay by Apple

June 20, 2013 By Jack M. Robinson Leave a Comment

While some sources were betting on the iPad Mini 2 making an appearance at the WWDC 2013 event or more likely during fall 2013, all of that now seems least probable. The sources who supply parts to make up the iPad Mini had told about the possibility of the iPad Mini 2 being completed before the WWDC 2013 indicating a delay in the release date of iPad Mini 2. Now they say it is not even expected to be completed next quarter.

ipad-mini

It would rather be the iPad 5 that Apple would launch this year and the iPad Mini 2 is rumored to see the light of day only next year first quarter. There could be several reasons for this rescheduling when Apple makes their smaller tablet available to the people. The most plausible could be Apple wanting to make sure their bigger sized iPad do not lose their market due to the presence of the more portable iPad Mini 2. That the latter is more to the consumer’s preference is quite evident from the market survey reports conducted by various companies during various times.

The reason for the smaller iPad emerging more popular is its lower price for one. The iPad Mini 2 is also more portable and handy and the iPad Mini having a Retina display this time would sure have cascading effect on the iPad 5.

There are other gadgets in the market from other makers like the Kindle Fire and Google Nexus which carry a lower price. To remain alive in this market Apple is having plans to come out with their iPad Mini 2 with a price tag of $250. The lower price coupled with the ease of use of the device would no doubt have dealt a severe blow to the iPad 5, which perhaps make it a wise move on part of Apple to first offer the iPad 5 followed by the iPad Mini 2 a few months later. However, all of these are rumors at best and we await an official confirmation on this in the coming days.
