iPhone 5S Rumors Round up – To Have Better Battery Times

July 4, 2013 By James Faulkner Leave a Comment

Leaked photo of the iPhone 5S provides an insight into some interesting features of the device. That is though with the presumption of the photographs being genuine. By looks the battery pack seems to be bigger and the device has dual-LED flash feature. The iPhone 5S release is awaiting the release of the iOS 7 and therefore these leaked photos could be the prototype which Apple is having of the iPhone 5S.

iPhone-5S

The leaked photographs have high probability of being the authentic given the logic board matches that being used on the iPhone 5S that was leaked earlier in this week.  The leaked photos come from MacRumors. The processor is an Apple chip as seen in the picture, there is however no A branding seen in the pictures. The iPhone5S is supposed to be using the A6 processor, and MacRumor states that the date code places the processor to be an October 2012 make.

The battery pack, as seen in the photograph, indicates there is yet work to be done on it. The size only is large, that can be seen clearly. The iPhone 5 with whose battery pack the comparison is being drawn is a 5.45 Watt hour set, while the iPhone 5S is supposed to be a 5.92 watt hour battery pack. The iPhone 5S would therefore have a battery pack that is of 1557 mAh rating and have an 8 percent gain over the battery pack of the iPhone 5. The mAh rating of the iPhone 5 battery pack is 1440 mAh.

The overall working time of the iPhone 5S with the new iOS 7 and the added battery power would naturally be much more than that of the iPhone 5. A similar battery life extension has been affected on the MacBook Air. Apple could therefore be expected to bring about similar increase in battery life with the iPhone 5S without any change in the thickness of the device.

The leaked photographs show the home button cropped off-screen. This gives the possibility of the iPhone 5S coming with a finger reader feature. This issue is further substantiated by the fact of Apple having purchased a mobile security company in 2012. Chances of the iPhone 5S as well as the iPhone 6 coming with finger reading features are therefore quite live. The other side of the iPhone 5S as depicted in the leaked photographs indicate the back over made of anodized aluminum with glass layout and the edge is chamfered. This is where the added flash can also be noticed.

Sometime back, leaked photograph of the case of the iPhone 5S had given the dual LED flash feature in the designs. This is now seen on the photographs, which substantiates the authenticity of the leaked photographs. The iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S otherwise look similar at the rear view. The 5S is expected to come with a 12-13 MP camera that would give the flash some work to do. There is also the feature of the camera being used in low light conditions also being available.

Launch and release dates are yet under debate by speculators, with September, October being the most voted date periods.

iPhone 5S Rumors Round Up – New Case Drawings Leaked

June 21, 2013 By Janet Vasquez Leave a Comment

A few case drawings supposed to be that of the new iPhone 5S has emerged online that has led many to be at their speculative best. What they have suggested from a close inspection of the case drawings has led them to believe the new iPhone 5S will be about the same size as the iPhone 5 though the cheaper iPhone will be bigger in comparison. Analysts attribute this to the use of plastics to manufacture the cheap iPhone variant which is more cost effective than using aluminum that goes into the making of the iPhone 5S.

IPHONE

Meanwhile, the iPhone 5S is believed to be more of an evolutionary product than being revolutionary, much like the iPhone 4S has been a further improvement over the iPhone 4. So it will perhaps be safe to assume the iPhone 4S will feature the same 4 inch display as the iPhone 4 though experts believe Apple might double the pixel count in the 4S variant.  Towards that, an even more powerful battery that is non-removable is also expected to ensure there is no dearth of juice to support the extra pixels.

Other features that are likely to be introduced in the 4S variant include a better camera and a more powerful processor. Apple might also consider including Near Field Communication or NFC as part of the package that will ensure faster Wi-Fi connection on top of the better LTE functionality the device will come included with. Also, an iPhone 4S with NFC enabled will ensure the device will be better off against its competing products many of which include the feature. Also, that the new iPhone 5S will come loaded with the new iOS 7 platform right out of the box is almost a surety.

Apple is slated to launch the new iPhone 5S during fall this year, possibly together with the launch of the low cost iPhone version.

iPhone 5S Rumors Round Up: Here is How Things Stand Right Now

June 19, 2013 By Deborah Cobing Leave a Comment

The next iPhone version named the iPhone 5S is for sure going to happen towards fall this year. That it will come pre-loaded with the radically new iOS 7 is another surety. No wonder, the iPhone 5S has emerged one of the favorite topics of discussions among gadget freaks worldwide. While these talks center on what to expect in the new device, the other angle which could be discussed is what not to expect in the device as well.

IPHONE

Apple has lifted the curtains off its new iOS 7 OS at their Worldwide Developers Conference held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. What was evident was the all new look and feel of the iOS 7.  As of now the new features which the iOS 7 has are its AirDrop function which would be available for the iPhone 5 and iPod touch devices for now. There is also the camera functions and the photo editing application that calls for attention. The calendar and the lock screen feature of the device it would run on also are new.  These are however not the final list of changes before its release which is towards the end of this year.

The new iOS would be supported by iPhone 4 and above, the iPad 2 and above as well as the iPod touch. Users of these device can expect to be able to upgrade sometime end November.

For those who are waiting for a new phone or want to upgrade, the iPhone 5S may be worth waiting for due its supposedly 13 megapixel camera and a more powerful processor that makes it a faster gadget to work on. Apple usually launches it new products in the fall, so the iPhone 5S could also be expected at that time period. Apple also normally releases a new device with any new OS release.

But then, that the new device would come with no ifs and buts in its working would be wrong. There is Apple and its associated carriers whose endeavor is to give its buyers and subscribers a hassle free new device, but in all probability there would the teething issues with the device at launch.

Those who are crazy about the new device must book in advance, for Apple has the reputation of creating a shortage scenario for its devices by coming out with lesser number of units than the demand. For those who do not go for the pre-order options, would have to know Apple retail contact addresses. Those trying to place a pre-order should also be ready to face some hindrance in the booking process itself.

The iPhone 5S would also not have carrier support from day one.  Carrier support would however be quite large after sometime of its existence. Case in example is iPhone 5 which T-Mobile started to support after its existence for some time and now even US Cellular also confirming the same for later this year. These two operators would sure take on the iPhone 5S as well.

Third party sellers of the iPhone have been known to sell sets that are not supported by the main carriers that Apple subscribes to. Users have faced problems on this count with the previous models of the iPhone. There is also the issue of such third party retailers delivering the item against a pre-order after long delay.

So far as pricing goes, buyers of the iPhone 5S should not expect much of a price difference or reduction with the smartphone likely to cost $199.99 as the on-contract price. Samsung Galaxy S4 as well as HTC One, both of which are competitors to the iPhone is also expected to come at the same $199.99 price range. Also, buyers must not expect any add on deals with the iPhone 5S as well as no drop in price tag soon after the release date. This happens with Android devices but not so in the history of Apple and its devices.
