The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are Hitting More Countries by the End of October

October 14, 2014 By Deborah Cobing 1 Comment

A while back we reported on the news that iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were finally allowed to be sold in China, after the government and Apple had extensive discussion on various subjects, including privacy. Today, we’ve got more Apple news: it seems that by the end of October, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are going to be available in 36 more countries.

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are Going Global

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are going global and they’re doing it quite fast. Apparently, by the end of this month, Apple wants to launch the new smartphones in 36 more countries, reaching a total of 69 countries. If Apple keeps its promise, by the end of this year 115 countries will be selling the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Apple’s two new smartphones have broken sales records on their opening weekend, selling more than 10 million units. The success of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus was followed by a few mishaps, such as BendGate, where users complained that their new iPhone 6 Plus would bend if kept in back pockets and by a faulty iOS 8.0.1 update, which was quickly addressed by Apple.

See if your country is on the big iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus roll out launch list:

October 17: China, India and Monaco

October 23: Israel

October 24: Czech Republic, French West Indies, Greenland, Malta, Poland, Reunion Island and South Africa

October 30: Bahrain and Kuwait

October 31: Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Guam, Hungary, Iceland, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macau, Macedonia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, South Korea, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine and Thailand

Millions Get iPhone 6 on Opening Weekend

September 22, 2014 By Deborah Cobing Leave a Comment

We’ve reported on how the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus reached a record 4 million preorders and today, ahead of Apple releasing their official iPhone 6 opening weekend numbers, we’re going to take a quick look at how the situation presents itself.

Indeed, 4 million preorders is an impressive number and Apple fans are used to grabbing their favorite blanket and some snacks and spending a night, if not more, in line at an Apple store just to be among the first to get their hands on one of the two new iPhones.

In the United States, the iPhone is the number one smartphone. It has a 41.9% market share, while Samsung’s Galaxy line has 27.8%. In 2013, more than 9 million iPhones were sold on opening weekend and we suspect the numbers are much higher for the iPhone 6 on opening weekend.

iPhone 6 on Opening Weekend

Unfortunately, there is no official iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus release date for China, which is a huge market for Apple. Tim Bajarin, from Creative Strategies, believes that the iPhone 6 on opening weekend sales are going to be around 6.7 million. Naturally, the numbers would have been higher, had the device been launched in China.

Still, Barclay said that the iPhone 6 on opening weekend numbers are a meaningless figure because it only represents Apple’s supply. As soon as the official numbers are released, the world will know if iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are as successful as the analysts are predicting. We will keep you updated.

What are your thoughts on the iPhone 6 on opening weekend? Were you one of the fans who got a smartphone this past weekend? Are you going to get one soon? Drop us a line in the comment section below and let us know all about it.

September 18, 2014 By Jack M. Robinson Leave a Comment

Samsung has announced that their latest Galaxy Note 4 will be available for pre-order starting tomorrow, 19 September. This date will coincide with the day that the new iPhone 6 goes on sale. Is that a coincidence? We don’t think so. The new Galaxy Note 4 can be pre-ordered from the Samsung Experience store and after that it will be available with other networks and retailers, including Three and Carphone Wearhouse. These two retailers have been officially announced by Samsung and pre-orders can be made on Friday, 26 September.

The new Galaxy Note 4 will come in a metal frame, with a 5.7 inch 2.560×1.440 display, a longer battery life and a fast charging mode. The Galaxy Note 4 will also have a 16MP camera with optical image stabilization and 3GB of RAM. It will feature an improved pen-like writing experience called the S Pen stylus.

Galaxy Note 4

A Samsung representative said that,

“With its premium design and Super AMOLED display, the Galaxy Note 4 is the go-to-device for those looking for a stunning viewing experience. With a number of innovative features to aid multitasking and increase productivity, we’re excited to offer our UK customers a revolutionary way of accessing and engaging with content on their mobile device.”

The new Galaxy Note 4 will sure have some strong competition from the iPhone 6 Plus phablet which will go on sale tomorrow. The new iPhone 6 Plus has sold out online reaching a new record. We are looking forward for an official statement from Samsung regarding the number of devices sold tomorrow. We doubt that it will sell better than the new iPhone but you never know.

We will sure keep you updated with any news regarding the Galaxy Note 4 as soon as Samsung releases something. In the meantime, if you have any questions, get in touch with us in the comment section below.

iPhone 6 Will Definitely Have a Larger Screen

April 2, 2014 By Deborah Cobing Leave a Comment

iphone 6If you are constantly keeping yourself updated with the latest rumors and leaks surrounding Apple’s gadgets, you probably know by now that the new iPhone 6, promised to hit the world sometime this fall, threw the specialists and fans altogether in never-ending debates regarding the iPhone’s 6 larger screen, a feature that clearly speaks of Apple’s intentions to top the competition in the smartphone market.

New evidence that the iPhone 6 will definitely have a larger screen aren’t confirmed so far by neither Apple, nor the three rumored iPhone screen suppliers, but the word on the web is that Japan Display, Sharp, and LG Display have been taken on board to start producing the said screens sometimes in May. To add more evidence to the leaks already provided by sources who insisted on preserving their anonymity, the new iPhone 6 will enter the world with a 4.7-inch screen, just to release the 5.5-inch version at a later date which nobody has yet a clue about.

While the iPhone 5s and 5c version screens will look like midgets in comparison to the iPhone’s 6 larger display (a feature most of Apple’s fans will embrace in the blink of an eye), the newest smartphone coming from Apple is still under some pressure: in-cell production technology for the larger 5.5-inch size iPhone 6 is difficult to manage in mass – production, therefore Apple decided to begin with the smaller 4.7 inch display, supposedly under the care of Japan Display. The following 5.5 inch display version is rumored to show up a few months later and to feature a shift from the in – cell technology to film sensor technology.

While the iPhone 6 tech features are more than appealing and now with the more and more evidence coming to support the rumor that iPhone 6 will definitely have a larger screen, there is a question that begs for an answer: will be Apple able to win over the competition and hold its ground as the leader of tech innovation, just like CEO Tim Cook promised, or are we going to have yet another smartphone thrown in an overly – saturated cell phones market?

iPhone 6 Release Date :New Rumors Claim Larger Display iPhone 6 In Works

September 9, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

The new models of iPhone namely, the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C are yet to be out but rumors of iPhone 6 release date are increasing at a steady pace. A new rumor that surfaced is that many of the apps that are available on the App Store has been described as if they are optimized for the iPhone 6.

Actually, since the iPhone 5 is available in the market now and its variants, iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, are going to be released on September 10, the App Store apps should come with ‘optimized for iPhone 5’ but the new notice makes us think that the new iPhone 6 is in the works and certainly it will come with new features on the new iPhone 6 release date.

iphone 6

Analysts are of the view that optimized for iPhone 6 notice is being shown mainly because the next gen iPhone 6 will feature the iOS 7 or probably an upgraded version of iOS 7. Some analysts are of the view that the new notice indicates that the iPhone 6 will feature a larger display.

The iPhone 6 is rumored to feature a bigger display than all its predecessor models. It is speculated to come with 6 inch screen. However, other rumor reveals that Apple is now considering a screen size between 4.8inches to 6inches. If the new iPhone 6 comes with a 6inch display, definitely it will be slotted as a phablet device. We think such a large display is quite a big leap and the Cupertino company will come out with a size that is slightly larger than 5inch.

As of now, Apple Inc is in no mood to talk about the iPhone 6 release date because the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C are slated to come out tomorrow. Both the iPhones relatively smaller sized displays compared to the recently released Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4. So, if the iPhone 6 which is most probably releasing in 2014 comes with a larger display, certainly it will take on Samsung handsets.

Recently, many brands are manufacturing a larger display smartphones. So, it is quite understandable that a large sized display iPhone 6 will be a good move to compete with Sony, Samsung, LG and others. Since the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S are coming out tomorrow, we can know through iPhone’s history that it will take around an year for the next iPhone to arrive.

The very first iPhone was launched in 2007 and in the next year the upgraded version of that device, the iPhone 3G was launched in 2008. It came out with 3G internet connectivity, enhanced support for headphone, and better camera. In the consecutive year, the iPhone 3GS was launched which featured speedy wireless connectivity, better camera and storage was increased to 32GB.

The following year brought the release of iPhone 4 in 2010. The iPhone 4 came out with various new features and as compared to the iPhone 3GS, it was quite a major upgraded. In 2011, iPhone 4S was released with minor upgrade. In 2012, the iPhone 5 came out with up to date features like larger display, 4G LTE support, 8MP camera, new design and Lightning connector. Going by this, the iPhone 5S which is releasing this year certainly makes us feel the iPhone 6 around this time next year.

Apple Inc is considering a new look for the iPhone 6. What do you think about the iPhone 6? Are you aware of some features that may come with iPhone 6? What about the 6inch display? Will it be a good move by Apple? Do let us know what you think about it.

iPhone 6 Release Date possible as it is Spotted At Gamestop Website

August 30, 2013 By Jack M. Robinson Leave a Comment

The iPhone 6 release date has been the subject of many a rumor stories which is hardly surprising. The rumors will only tend to get more aggressive as we approach a period that is expected to yield the new iPhone.

Meanwhile, the entire saga has taken up a new dimension after the upcoming iPhone was very recently spotted on the Gamestop website sporting looks that can be considered to be the nearest to the official look.

iphone-5s

With the site being popular for selling of video games and all related things, it is quite surprising the iPhone 6 in almost official colors has appeared here. However, there is no mention of the price but only the price values. It has very smartly left the customers with guessing the price. However there is a unique system offered by the Gamestop. It allows the users of the gadget to exchange the device for a particular rate. The rate depends on two factors firstly whether the exchange is for cash or secondly if it’s for the store trade credit. The website also has the price list for iPhone 6 for the US based carrier AT&T for its various models,16 GB, 32 GB as well as 64 GB though none carries an image of the concerned device.

The trade value of the device is 382 dollars in cash, for the store credit the amount is higher, that is 480 dollars. There are different prices for the various models. The 64 GB model is available for a store credit of 580 dollars and a cash credit of 462 dollars. The other model 32 GB is available at a cash credit of 422 dollars and a store credit of 530 dollars. When compared with its predecessor the iPhone 5, one would get it for 370 dollars or 466 dollars for the 64 GB model on the same carrier.

The latest produce from Apple, iPhone 6 is considered faster than its predecessor the iPhone 5. It is also expected to come with the motion track technology as per rumors. A leaked image of the device that came out this week showed it in a graphite shade. It is however assumed that the device will be coming in four shades like gold, black and white.

Another nice addition to the device is a rumored fingerprint sensor which if true will make the device even more secured. To all the iPhone lovers out there, let us hope we will soon witness the iPhone 6 release date.

iPhone 6 Release Date, Concept Borrows Samsung Idea of Edge-to-Edge Display

August 21, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

Are you a curious Apple iPhone fan? The iPhone 5S is expected to come out in the next month. However, the buzz about its successor model, the iPhone 6 release date is already doing rounds on the internet. Yes, we are talking about iPhone 6. At present, iPhone 6 concepts are one of the hottest topics of discussion in the tech world. Rumor has it that the iPhone 6 will sport a 5 inch edge-to-edge display.

The edge-to-edge display concept is also referred as wrap around or endless or infinite display on the web. The release date of iPhone 6 might possibly happen somewhere in the second half of 2014 but even now Apple fans are devising iPhone 6 concepts thinking what the iPhone 6 will appear like.

iPhone-6-concept-edge-to-edge-display

Samsung is also believed to be working on endless display for its future project and many tech analysts feel that Apple manufacturers will borrow Samsung’s edge-to-edge display concept. If this will truly come true in the future, guess we will have a new Samsung vs. Apple battle coming up.

The iPhone 6 concept first surfaced on Dribbble website and it showed the internet browser on it would feel like. It also showed the RSS reader as well. The new concept from Claudio Guglieri is a morphed version of iPhone 6 that comes with buttons on its side.

It will be for the first time for Apple to offer a 5inch display on iPhone. The iPhone 6 with its 5inch display will definitely offer more viewing space than before. However, it is still too early to predict whether edge-to-edge display will come on iPhone 6 or not.

The iPhone 6 concept shows the display running at the front and the rear of the device. It also shows a lightning port present at the bottom of the device. Since the phone will sport two displays, one at the front and the other at the back, users will be able to use two apps on the two different screens simultaneously.

iPhone-6-endless-display-side-app-use

Also, a lot has to be learnt as to how the new endless display would work. When a user will hold a handset with wrap around display on it, his fingers and palm are bound to touch the sides which mean one can accidentally end up pressing some button. Another problem with this concept is that you won’t be able to use a protective cover on the phone. If you use it, the edges of the display will be covered inside the case.

If the concept has to come true, the manufacturers will surely do something to prevent unwanted touches. Also, it should be constructed with a durable glass or powerful glass coating to prevent it from getting damaged from drops and bumps.

Are you also interested in creating iPhone 6 concept according to your creativity? If yes then you can download the PSD file from the provided link and start experimenting. Earlier this year at the CES 2013, Samsung had unleased Youm, bendable wrap around display technology that we may see on a Samsung device in the coming year.

With new display technology pegged to arrive at Apple and Samsung in the near future, we feel in the next year, the battle among major handset brands will become even fiercer. We will keep you informed on anything interesting that we come to know about the iPhone 6.
