Snapsaved.com Got Hacked, Thousands of Snapchat Images Stolen

October 14, 2014 By Jack M. Robinson Leave a Comment

There is no denial that Snapchat is doing well! A while back we reported on how SnapChat’s valuation had reached $10 billion, but today we’ve got some news about Snapchat that aren’t going to improve the company’s image at all. It seems that the site where users can save Snapchat images, Snapsaved.com got hacked.

Snapsaved.com Got Hacked

SnapChat is an app that lets people send photos over it which automatically get deleted, seconds after being viewed. Teens seem to love this app, but now it may lose a lot of users after Snapsaved.com got hacked. Snapsaved is a website that allows its users to save the images they were sent through Snapchat. It was revealed by Snapsaved.com that the hackers got around 500 MB of images from their databases.

Snapsaved.com Got Hacked

Snapsaved release a statement on their Facebook account saying that they had closed down their website and erased their servers as soon as they had noticed that Snapsaved.com got hacked. They also said that the hackers who were making the threats were exaggerating when they saying that they would create a searchable database with all the imaged they had fraudulently downloaded. The website also stated that it was their own website that was hacked and not SnapChat:

SnapChat has not been hacked, and these images do not originate from their database. The recent rumors about the snappening are a hoax. The hacker does not have sufficient information to live up to his claims of creating a searchable database.

This scandal could even harm SnapChat, which has faced criticism in the past regarding their privacy policies and settings.

Have you ever used SnapChat? How about Snapsaver.com or any other website that allows you to save images sent via SnapChat? What are your thoughts on the fact that Snapsaved.com got hacked? Drop us a line below and tell us all about it!

Apple’s Healthbook App Leaked – An App that Will Help You Stay Healthy

April 4, 2014 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

Apple's Healthbook AppAs predicted, the leaks are starting to flow concerning new Apple devices and apps. Last week we learned that the iPhone 6 will definitely have a larger screen and we’re to expect more and more leaks about the new iPhone, because it is going into production soon. Some sneaky factory worker will surely manage to snap a few photos of the screen or some bits and pieces and then the internet will explode. This week we’re going to take a look at Apple’s Healthbook App – an app designed with one thing in mind: help you get and stay healthy.

Apple’s Healthbook App Leaked

This is one massive leak that seems to give us a sneak peak at Apple’s one of the most eagerly awaited launches.

If we were to believe that the leak is real, then it seems that Apple want to track our hydration levels, blood work and also sleep cycles and exercises. There are already a plethora of apps available of iOS that do that, but it seems that Apple want to get a piece of the pie themselves, probably to rival the all those smartwatches out there that seem to be quite health and fitness oriented.

Basically, Apple’s Healthbook app will be a comprehensive repository of all your health and body data: heart rate, blood pressure, nutrition, respiratory rate, weight and much more. Then what Healthbook does with it, remains to be seen. How is the app going to get that information, you ask? Well, there are two possible ways and we think that Apple’s Healthbook app is going to combine the two. Firstly, the app is going to make use of the iPhone 6’s or iWatch sensors and secondly, you’re going to have to do quite a bit of filling in your personal data that you get from your doctor. Which is OK, we’re not expecting a simple app to analyze us by being next to us… yet! Tim Cook is threating us with some awesome sensors, but we are going to have to wait and see what that’s all about.

Apple’s Healthbook App will most likely be launched at the Apple WWDC 2014, which Apple announced yesterday that it will take place on June 2 in San Francisco. At the June conference, Apple is expected to launch the new iOS 8 and even a new MacBook Air with Retina display. Remember, everything is just speculation, so don’t get your hopes up.

What are your thoughts on Apple’s Healthbook app? Do you find it useful? Or is too intrusive? Tell us your thoughts by leaving us a comment.

Leaks Suggest The New Nexus 10 to be Launched in About a Month’s Time

December 11, 2013 By Jack M. Robinson Leave a Comment

Here is some good news for those who might have been waiting with bated breath for Google to announce the next gen Nexus 10 device. @evleaks whose leaks have proved to be closest to reality in most cases mention about the possibility of the Nexus 10 from Google to be available in a month’s time from now. The source of this prediction is based on some figures that they have received from the suppliers of the sub-components that would go into the making of the Nexus 10.

There has been talk about LG being the maker of the device and the leaked information also mentions the model name of the device to be LGV510. Samsung has made the current Nexus 10 for Google. The tablet has seen no update since its launch indicating that probably there could be a new Nexus 10 in the offing. It may also be noted that the current batch of Nexus 10 in the market is not been restocked which is further indication of something new being in the offing.

So far as the Nexus line of product goes, there is the Nexus 7 made by ASUS which was replaced by the year 2013 version a few months ago. The other nexus variant, the Nexus 4 by LG has been replaced with the Nexus 5 with LG continuing as the manufacturer of the smartphone. This makes the Nexus 10 as the only device that is yet to be replaced with a new version.

As for rumors surrounding the upcoming Nexus 10 device, it is being speculated that the device would be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, with the latest S800 most likely to make the cut. The present Nexus 10 has the Exynos processor from Samsung. The display would be of 2560 x 1600 pixels which is also what the current Nexus 10 comes with.
