There have been many rumors regarding the LG G3 upcoming flagship phone. The latest fuss has been about their curved LG G Flex which has gained some positive reviews from both experts and users. But the latest news is about LG G3 which has an official release date. Actually it has two release dates: the first will be on May 27th, followed by May 28th. Why a two date release, you might ask? It’s because the new smartphone, according to event invitations, will be launched in six different locations during two whole days. New York, San Francisco and London will be the hosts of the events on the 27th, while Istanbul, Seoul and Singapore will be hosting on the 28th of May. Sounds elaborate, we know and we hope it will worth that waiting. We’re working on getting invitations for the US shows so we can tell you how it went. Finger crossed.
The tagline written on the invitation says- “To be simple is to be great”. This might mirror Samsung’s “back to basics” slogan that was used when the Galaxy S5 was released. We still don’t know how the new LG smartphone will be named, because it doesn’t say on the invitations, but we’re assuming it will be called LG G3 as LG announced in their earnings report. Although it doesn’t sound bad, we still hope that they will come up with something more sophisticated like…LG G Tastic. But LG G3 will do just fine, as well.
The upcoming smartphone has been leaked numerous times these past months and some sources claimed they have the specifications for it. Recently, there was even a photo of the new phone over the internet showing its rear buttons, indicating that the G3 is inspired, design-wise, by its predecessor.
Sources say that the new G3 will feature optical image stabilization, 2GB or 3GB of RAM (probably there will be two versions), 16GB storage, a QHD display. The LG G3 will supposedly have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 M8974A processor, a 13 mp back camera, a 2.1 mp front camera, Android KitKat, and a microSD card slot for 64GB extra memory.
LG G3 – the official release dates are here: May 27th and May 28th
We can’t wait to get our hands on the much awaited LG G3 smartphone. We have a hunch that it won’t be a disappointing experience. We shall keep you updated with further details.
