Moto Maker is a process that Motorola have launched which allows users who buy the Moto X device from any of the major network service providers in the US, the ability to customize the smartphone as per their personal tastes. This goes for the color of the back panel and the front panel as well as the buttons all of which can be individually selected by the customer from a wide range of choice available. Even the rim of the camera mounted at the rear can also be specified. What should be all the more endearing to the buyers is that the price of the handsets after customization would remain more or less the same if carried out through the Moto Maker engine. And now the latest major US carrier to have joined the group accepting this Moto Maker protocol is AT&T.
Users who like to make their handset unique with some engraving at the back panel like a quote or phrase can also do so via the Moto Maker process. When the offer had started there was some time delay being experienced for Motorola to do the engraving process and make the device ready for the customer. This time delay has now been reduced to near instant. Buyers now also have the option to select the particular version of the Moto X to take, like the 16 GB or the 32 GB variant via the Moto Maker. Cost of the 16 GB variant would work out to $99.99 and the 32 GB variant costs $149.99. Both variants come with the two year contract attached to them.
The apps that Moto X carries with it are quite addictive and intuitive. There are of course different set of apps depending of which carrier is being selected though the base apps are itself quite immersive and exhaustive.
