The New Moto X+1 Has Interesting Features

June 17, 2014 By Deborah Cobing Leave a Comment

moto x+1 smartphone 2 Hello Moto! Again! This year the tech news are crowded with Motorola – related information and speculations.

While we are still waiting for that Motorola phablet we talked about earlier in March to come out, we took some interest in the not-so-recent Moto G and Moto X smartphones back in the day.

We even expressed our amazement with the whole vintage phones – business becoming a hit in Europe and we watched closely the transaction that took Motorola company from Google’s back yard to Lenovo’s compound.

And the news, leaks and rumors involving this famous and troubled company don’t stop here. Recent leaks, apparently surging from people close to the company, show the world a bunch of photos that suggest we will witness the rise of the new Moto X+1, the future flagship smartphone released by the company. Let’s see the news:

Today a source we have been working with at Motorola has provided a photo of the supposed Moto X+1
Some confirmed specs on the device are as follows from our source.

  1. 1080p AOLED display
  2. 2gb ram
  3. 16, 32, 64gb of storage
  4. Micro sd card expansion
  5. And updated camera (source says 2 versions are being considered)

Will the new Moto X+1 be a strong – enough challenger to the Samsung Galaxy smartphones or the forthcoming iPhone? And is this new Moto X+1 the world’s largest phablet everybody talked about some months ago? And if it is, can it even remotely compare to the latest Samsung innovation, the two new Galaxy Tab S tablets? Can it even stay (without exploding) in the presence of the highly – rumored Amazon 3D smartphone? There are more questions than answers, but this new Moto X+1 has been leaked before, so it is unlikely that it is the infamous phablet.

So far, we are still in the shadows when it comes to the size of the new Moto X+1 smartphone, its other, more interesting tech specs and its official release date. But, according to BGR, this may actually become a decent phone. No match for its competitors, but with the right price and marketing, it may trump the old Moto X and convince users to say Hello Moto! once again:

Other details are still unknown for the time being, but the phone is already shaping up to be a big improvement compared to the Moto X. At the right price, the X+1 could certainly be a solid offering from Motorola later this year. TK Tech News says the phone could launch in August or September.

Motorola Moto X Smartphone Release Date Nears, to Launch by October at all Major Carriers

May 30, 2013 By Janet Vasquez Leave a Comment

Motorola Mobility was sold for $12.5 billion to search engine giant, Google. However, after the acquisition, Motorola has faced losses of more than $270 million in the first quarter of this year and it is still not clear as to what Google and Motorola are planning to fix the problem. During an interview, the CEO of Motorola Dennis Woodside threw some light on the future plans of Motorola.

During the D: All Things Digital event that was held on Wednesday, Woodside addressed all the concerns. First of all, Woodside confirmed that they will be launching the Moto X smartphone by October. The Moto X has been one of the most rumored smartphones of this year. Woodside claimed he plans to completely revamp the product line. Motorola plans to launch a couple of new smartphones.

Woodside was in fact carrying the Moto X in his pocket. However, he did not bother taking out the phone and showing it to the world. However, he said that Moto X is capable of snapping photos as soon as it is taken out of the pocket. He also added that the Moto X would act differently while driving 60 miles an hour. It shows that the phone is able to sense its surroundings. However, such a phone can also eat up a lot of battery life. To answer that Woodside added that there are two CPUs onboard that will let you do those things without impacting the battery life.

The manufacturing process of Moto X will be done in US at Fort Worth in Texas which has nearly 2000 employees on board. All the leading carriers of US are quite excited about the new phone from Motorola. Google has helped Motorola with financing and legal issues. When it comes to Android, Motorola is being treated as just another mobile phone company.

Motorola is also working on an electronic wearable tattoo which can be used for authentication. They are also working on a pill which will contain a small chip and battery that will turn the entire body into an authentication body. Woodside considers Motorola as an underdog because it is powered by Google, technology innovation running in its roots and they have some of the most experienced engineers from Google, Apple and Samsung.

If we go by what Woodside claimed at the event, it is for sure that Motorola has got several powerful handsets to be unveiled. The Moto X is the first one in line. The tech world is now eagerly waiting for Motorola to make official announcement on the features and specifications of Moto X. We hope that Moto X slots Motorola as a very competitive brand among giants like Samsung and Apple.
