Destiny Game Was Released Today, First Impressions

September 9, 2014 By Janet Vasquez Leave a Comment

We’ve been waiting for a long time to get our hands on the new Destiny game. First of all, Destiny game is available for all the popular consoles: PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and of course, PS3. The game looks great! The graphics are really impressive and we love the clear and crispy images. For the entire time we played Destiny we had no problems with the servers so we reckon we won’t have any in the future, either. It plays great in terms of FPS, that’s for sure. The connection was flawless and not one network lag. Another thing we loved about the Destiny game is that we couldn’t find any bugs or glitches, which is pretty impressive for a game this big.

We also loved the combat and it kept us interested the entire time we played and as soon as we finish writing this we’ll go back and play some more. Although the levels can be a tad repetitive, it didn’t really bother us because you hardly notice it.

Destiny is a fun game overall. It plays very interestingly and it keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time you play it. The PvP addition is something we haven’t tried yet but we have a feeling that the PvP multiplayer will be awesome.

Destiny Game Was Released Today, First Impressions

We really loved playing Destiny game on our Xbox 360 and we definitely recommend it to all gamers out there. One of best ways to tell if a game is great or not so good is by counting the hours you spend playing it. Destiny game definitely passed that test successfully.

Have you played the Destiny game yet? What did you think of its graphics, playability and engagement? We want to hear from you so you can leave your thoughts in the comment section below.

Sony Reveals New Sci-Fi Looking Project Morpheus Headset

March 19, 2014 By Deborah Cobing Leave a Comment

sony project morpheus virtual realityTechnology has advanced so much in the last 20 years and it seems that nothing can stop it. From apps to hybrid phones to realistic games, there’s nothing that technology can’t do. The latest tech innovation comes from game leaders Sony PlayStation that revealed a new head set that looks as if it were specially designed for a futuristic sci-fi blockbuster: it is a PS4 virtual reality headset called Project Morpheus.

The president of Sony, Shuhei Yoshida has put an end to all the rumors circulating around Project Morpheus headset and revealed at the official Games Developers conference that the future of PlayStation games will be the virtual reality type of games, revealing from under a sheet the prototype model for the Project Morpheus headset.

Yoshida also declared that they have been working on the virtual reality headset for the last three years and that this will not be its final form. The prototype version of this futuristic headset consists of the Sony HMZ head display that comes with a Move controller on its side and can be used for playing first-person games.

Project Morpheus headset specifications

Sony’s virtual reality headset comes with a 5 inch LCD display that has a resolution of 1920Xrgbx1080 resolution, a field of view of 90 degrees, a 3D audio support, DualShock 4 and a compatibility with the PS Move and it places no weight on the nose or the cheeks of the player.

Yoshida also revealed that the Project Morpheus headset mirrors what the player see on a TV display, which allows others to see what the player sees. Only a single virtual headset can be connected to a PS4 console at a time for now.

Another cool feature that was specially created for the Project Morpheus headset is the 3D sound technology that allows the players to hear sounds coming to them from all directions, including from above and from below them.

The release date and the pricing are not known yet but we will keep you updated to any news that will appear in the future.

Sony Claims PS4 Launch Issues Within Acceptable Limits

November 20, 2013 By Deborah Cobing Leave a Comment

Sony launched its PlayStation 4 console with a natural rush of gamers going for the console at the very outset. What followed next is almost a routine, what with confusion and hiccups taking center state. Like a retailer giving out the device before the D-day and also a crash of their servers as users logged in to update their console which is mandatory. These issues had been reported by many ardent Sony followers and gamers. Sony though has termed all of these being not a very serious issue and that these are being dealt with accordingly. Sony has also mentioned that the number of consoles which have been affected by such errors is not an alarming number, that it’s quite normal for most products at their first launch to come up with such figures of malfunctioning units.

ps4

Representatives of Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) mentioned this while talking to Endgadget. With the varied issues being reported, they feel that the core problem is not one singular issue. They also have records showing that a total of 1 percent of the number of units shipped has been malfunctioning which they consider not a very high figure with such a high profile product launch.

They have given assurance that Sony and the retailers were working together to address the issues effectively and at the shortest possible time frame, which includes sending the replacement units where necessary.

Barring these few cases, Sony reported the response from the vast majority of the PS4 users to being largely positive. There is however the aspect of the 1 percent turning out to be a big figure in integers, as Sony is supposed to have sold about 1 million units of their PS4. This means there are 10,000 users holding malfunctioning or devices with the “Blue Screen” in their hand.

Some forums are placing possible process by which the user themselves might be able to correct the problem of the console. However, it is upon the individual to decide whether to await official instruction from Sony or opt for unofficial means to get started with the PS4s that have stalled.

PlayStation 4 Release Date, Xbox One Will Work With PS 4

September 28, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

Xbox One is one versatile gaming console that not only allows you to enjoy favorite game titles but also watch television channels through it. There is a tough competition brewing up between Xbox One and PS4 which is going to release in November. PS4 release date is going to happen in November on 15th, followed by Xbox One in the next week.

ps4-xbox-one

The PS4 has bigger advantage over Xbox One as it is coming one week early. However, Xbox One has got lots of features up in its sleeves. At the Tokyo Game Show which was held recently, it was revealed that the Xbox One will be able to support ‘any HDMI device’ also includes PlayStation 4.

A presentation was showing by Xbox senior director of product management and planned Albert Panello at the Tokyo Game Show. While the presentation was running, someone popped up a question about Xbox One’s capability to support video feed from PS4. However, he did not answer it directly.

As the presentation continued, Panello talked about Xbox One’s feature of snapping applications to one side of the screen while playing any game. He added that any app can be snapped to a game which also includes live TV feed. He further went to say that if you would like to play Ryse and Killzone simultaneously, you could snap them easily.

Killzone is an FPS game which is exclusively available for Sony PlsyStation gaming consoles. The newest addition to Killzone series is called Killzone: Shadow Fall which will be exclusively available for PlayStation 4. Recently Sony had revealed that it will not stop users of PS4 from recording videos through the console’s HDMI port. It is only after this announcement from Sony, Microsoft confirmed that they will not prevent PS4’s video signal.

From the new announcement coming from the Microsoft camp, it feels great to know that you will be able to play PS4 through Xbox One. However, we are not sure how is the ‘snapping’ feature will be really useful for Xbox One users. It does sounds great that through Kinect gestures you can change inputs or you can achieve the same through voice commands.  You can play game and watch a TV show beside each other or attend a Skype call or even play a PS4 game, but how is that really going to help users?

Also, we feel that the screen splitting feature will only offer unsatisfying viewing experience because only one of the screens will get sound. Well, even if both the sides would play sounds, it won’t be of any help either.

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is going to compete against each other. Some tech pundits even feel that the PS4 has a better advantage over Xbox One mainly because of its early release and it also costs 100USD less. However, the Xbox One still portrays itself as a versatile device which even offers Skype calling feature.

PlayStation 4 Release Date Update – Sony Makes it Possible to Play PS3 Games on PS4

September 20, 2013 By Troy Rubenson

Gamers are quite jubilant about the fact that in November two new gaming consoles are going to arrive. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 release date are going to pit against each other. Both gaming consoles appear very promising. When Sony announced the features of PlayStation 4, the Japanese tech giant made it very clear that the new PS4 will not support PS3 games.

PlayStation 4 does not come with backwards compatibility with older PS3 games. However, this does not mean that PS4 will never be able to enjoy PS3 games. There is a way through which one can enjoy PS3 games on PS4. In the next year, Sony will be allowing users to stream older PS3 games.

sony-unveils-playstation-4-console

During the Tokyo Games Show that was held yesterday, Shuhei Yoshida revealed that PS4 users will be able to play PS3 games through Gaikai streaming service. Sony had acquired the streaming service for 380USD million in 2012. When the service will be introduced in the next year, it will only allow certain games to be streamed. However, Sony plans to enlarge its streaming library in due course of time by adding new games that were designed for PS3 gaming console.

The streaming service will not only make the games available on PS4 gaming console but also on other recently released devices like PS Vita and Vita TV set-top box. Both Xbox One and PS4 do not allow users to play games that are older. However, through Gaikai service, PS4 users will be play PS3 games.

The Vita TV set-top box will allow users to watch TV channels, access PlayStation Store and play PS3 games and that too at a reasonable price. Although it is unsure when will the device arrive in US but it is certain that the Asian markets are going to get the device on Nov 14 for 95USD or so. According to the rumors, Gaikai service will arrive in North America in 2014

At first Xbox One appeared to be a better gaming console but now it seems that PlayStation 4 will have upper edge in the market. PS4 is arriving a week earlier than Xbox One and also it is priced 100USD less than Xbox One. And now Vita TV along with Gaikai subscription would seriously impact the business of Xbox One.

PlayStation 4 will also allow users to record games through HDMI. On PS3, users had make use of analogue cables in order to record in-game content as the manufacturers imposed copyright protection for recording game content over HDMI. At the Tokyo Games Show, the Japanese gaming console maker announced that the PS4 will be able to capture games over HDMI. As of now, Sony has not revealed much info on it but in the near feature they will be rolling out more details.

PlayStation 4 release date will arrive in Asian markets like Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan in December 2013. In Europe, it will arrive on November 29th whereas in US, the scheduled PlayStation 4 release date is November 15.

Outlast PS4 Release Date in 2014 – Psychological Horror Game At its Best Offers Genuine Scares

September 10, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

Outlast is an action packed psychological horror game developed by Red Barrels. The game is has already released for Windows PC on September 4 2013. The game will be made available for PS4 in 2014. The game will be available for free for the first month exclusively for PlayStation Plus members.

The game will always keep you on the edge as you try to avoid crazy mental patients who are roaming around the halls of the beautifully built horror world. In the game, you will find yourself running around and hiding to overcome the horrors of the Mount Massive Asylum. The asylum is situated somewhere in the mountains of Colorado.

Outlast

The Mount Massive Asylum is a deserted home where mentally unstable patients used to stay has been recently reopened by the research team of transnational Murkoff Corporation. There is something fishy about the activities carried out by the research team.

Miles Upshur who is a journalist by profession arrives at the scene uncover the truth. From here on, he encounters horrifying moments from the world of science, religion and nature. The only hope for Miles is to unravel the truth hidden at the center of Mount Massive.

Undoubtedly, Outlast is one of the very good looking horror games ever developed. The dynamic lightning and terrific background score really makes the game very intriguing. While playing the game, you will be scared to explore new areas or open shut doors.

The developers of the game have given lot of importance to minute details of the game. For instance, one can easily see the footprints after coming out from a pool of blood. Such details may make you feel that Mount Massive does exist in reality somewhere.

Though Red Barrels have built the virtual world with great details, they have not developed the game characters that well as you may expect. For instance, you will be afraid at looking some of the approaching enemies but as they come close, you won’t feel that scared because of their close up view. Also, some of the enemies come again at the latter half of the game.

Running and hiding are the only things you can do to keep yourself safe at the Mount Massive Asylum. Quite often you will find yourself running down the hallway with a nasty looking beast following you and then you pass through series of doors only to find yourself hiding in a closet to dodge your pursuer truly will keep on the edge while you play the game. And then it becomes even more interesting when enemies start to break the doors and rooms to catch you. You can imagine, how intimidating the game can become.

We think that Outlast is certain one of the best horror games ever made. Some of the most dreadful monsters cannot be killed but you are required to run away from them. The only thing that we disliked was the design choices used by the makers and repetition moments.

PlayStation 4 Release Date – Surprisingly Sony Delays PS4 Release in Japan Home Country

September 10, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

The PlayStation 4 release date for US and Canada is set to November 15 and the PS4 release date for European countries has been set to November 29. When is the gaming console from Sony going to release in the home country? You will be surprised to know that Sony plans to launch the PS54 in Japan three months after it hits the US markets.

The PlayStation 4 release date for Japanese markets has been scheduled to February 22nd, 2014. The PS4 along with the PlayStation camera will cost 41,979 yen which is equivalent to $399. Also, it is the first time Sony Corp has announced the release date and price for Japan.

sony-unveils-the-playstation-4-2

Right from the time first gen PlayStation was launched, the company had launched the gaming console first in the home country and then it was made available to the other countries. The reason provided by Sony for delaying the PS4 release in Japan is that they want to make ensure enough stock of the gaming console is available for the home country. However, tech experts feel that the demand for PlayStation is dwindling in the home country.

Out of the total original PlayStation devices that were sold globally, 18.6 percent of them were sold in Japan. When the PS3 released globally, 14.7 percent sales were achieved in Japan. The stats also showed that one third of the total sales of both original PlayStation and PS3 were accounted in US.

The Xbox One is going to arrive a week later than the Nov 15 PS4 release date. The Xbox One is scheduled to launch on November 22. The Xbox One is going to release in 13 countries. However, even Microsoft has delayed the release date of Xbox One for Japanese markets. If you look at the history of Xbox in Japan, you would certainly know that the Xbox has failed to perform well in Japan.

Both the companies, Sony and Microsoft are doing their best in highlighting the best features of their gaming consoles. Microsoft is advertising the device as a complete family entertainment device as it let users play games as well as watch television content through it. Sony is solely promoting its device as a gaming console with better online features like saving and uploading video clips from game play.

The competition between the two gaming consoles is getting hotter and hotter. Which one do you think outshine the other? Do let us know your views.
