The much talked about Xbox One gaming console from Microsoft was revealed to the people at large, albeit partially. However, certain aspects of the gaming console such as the price tag, date of its release as well as the games it would be supporting had been kept under wraps then.
Thankfully, things are a lot better post the E3 event where Microsoft was present with their Xbox One and also mentioned the games that the gadget would come with. That apart, Microsoft gave hints during the event on the other aspects such as price and release dates without going into the specifics.
The latest indication about the release date has been that the Xbox One would be available in the month of November. Without any confirmation from Microsoft a more exact date of release can only be speculated right now to be the third week of November.
So far as price tag that the Xbox One would carry, once again a speculative amount would be $499 for those in the US. The product in the UK would carry a price tag of 429 GPB, which though translates to a rather hefty $670 USD. Amazon has been accepting pre-order for the Xbox One at their site. Their site also mentions the date of November 30 as launch date, which may not be the exact date of launch finally.
The total package would include the console with on board storage space of 500 GB, a wireless controller as well as the Kinetic which is a must for the console to work. Microsoft though claims the Kinetic feature can be turned off. Real time experience during tests however shows that the feature needs to be constantly connected for the device to work properly. The controller can also be connected via the USB port to convert from wireless to wired.
As for its prospects in the market with competition from the Sony PS 4 which is priced a 100 bucks less is something that only time can tell.
