Xbox 720, Infinity, Fusion? Xbox One Released – Find Out Features of Microsoft Next Gen Xbox

May 21, 2013 By Sebastian Mc’Mannen Leave a Comment

As expected, Microsoft revealed the new edition of Xbox gaming console on Tuesday. The previous edition i.e. Xbox 360 was launched in 2005 which means Microsoft has released the new version of Xbox after 8 years. The next gen Xbox is named Xbox One. Until Tuesday, nobody had an iota of inclination that the new Xbox would be called Xbox One. In fact, many were considering names like Xbox Infinity, Xbox Fusion and Xbox 720.

XboxOne

The new Xbox is not just a gaming console but also it seamlessly integrates TV, web connectivity and gaming. The machine will also offer cloud storage, voice control and gesture technology. The new Xbox was unveiled at Microsoft’s campus located at Redmond, Washington. An executive from Xbox, Marc Whitten addressed the jam-packed hall by saying, “It changes everything.”

The new Xbox was designed not just for video game lovers but also for the entire family as a complete entertainment device. The device is built in such a way that it aims to revolutionize the way you watch TV and movies, play your favorite games, and listen to your favorite music and more. The Xbox One can also be used to measure your heartbeat.

We can clearly understand that Microsoft is aiming to target the family audience instead of simply concentrating on gaming audience. People who are eagerly waiting to purchase the Xbox One will have until the end of the year to buy it. At the event, Yusuf Mehdi, an executive from Microsoft demonstrated how well the device could be handled through voice commands. You can also use hand gestures for controlling your TV.

The Xbox One will feature 8GB RAM, Blu-ray drive, 500GB hard disk drive, and voice and motion detection. You will not be play any of the games that worked on the previous versions of Xbox gaming consoles. Microsoft did not announce any specific game at the event. Instead, they are planning to release 15 exclusive Xbox One games. Some of the Xbox games that will be available soon in the market include Quantum Break, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Fifa 14, NBA Live 14, UFC, Forza 5 and Madden 25.

Microsoft Xbox 720 to Come With a PC Like Architecture to Compete with Sony Playstation 4

May 19, 2013 By Georgia Dawson Leave a Comment

Both Sony and Microsoft are busy putting the finishing touches to their respective next gen gaming consoles, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox 720 respectively. Both are slated for a market debut towards the end of the year.

Sony though can be considered to be a step ahead of Microsoft on this as it has already launched – even if has been a partial one – the PlayStation 4 a few months back. We at least know something of what Sony’s next offering in the gaming console segment will be like though the scenario is just the opposite with the Microsoft Xbox 720 that is also being referred to as the Durango or the Infinity.

However, in such a situation, its rumors that we are left to depend on and the strongest on this is pointing towards an Xbox that will come with a PC like architecture. The idea of the Xbox to have an architecture that is quite similar to a gaming PC is quite probable considering the device nonetheless will be based on a version of Windows 8.

The above gains more solid foting on the back of Microsoft having put up ads specifying requirements of an individual having ‘experience with both X86 and ARM ISAs’. In another ad, Microsoft has stressed the requirement for someone who has a ‘deep understanding of modern PC architecture’.

This does add some degree of credibility to the ongoing rumors of Microsoft’s next Xbox to come with a PC like architecture.

Xbox 720 Release Date Event by Microsoft to Showcase Call of Duty: Ghosts Demo

May 15, 2013 By Troy Rubenson 1 Comment

The Xbox 360 has been one of the most popular gaming consoles in the recent times and the next generation gaming console from Microsoft, the Xbox 720 will be revealed at Redmond, Washington headquarters which will be held on 21st May 2013. When the Xbox 720 will be unveiled at that time Microsoft will also be showcasing the demo version of the forthcoming Call of Duty game.

It has been confirmed through an advertisement poster that new title for the Call of Duty is named as Call of Duty: Ghosts. The release date of the game is scheduled for 5th Nov, 2013. The poster became visible only after Activision started showing teasers of the Call of Duty: Ghosts on their official website. This confirms the official title and release date of the game. Rumors have it that the new edition of the Call of Duty: Ghost will be exclusively available for the Xbox 720 user only.

The publisher of the game has revealed that Infinity Ward is developing the game and they are hoping to bring a completely new gaming experience for Call of Duty lovers. There is no information on the plot and setting of the game but we think that game will be based around the Simon “Ghost” from the Modern Warfare 2.

Even though the launch date is set to 21st May, there is no foolproof confirmation on the release date of Xbox 720. Analysts believe that the rival PlayStation 4 will be available on sale before the Xbox 720. Sony plans to release the PlayStation 4 during the Christmas. This should make Microsoft to release the Xbox 720 quickly before the market gets saturated.

People who are interested in buying Call of Duty: Ghosts can simply pre-order it through GameStop, Amazon and Best Buy. You can place the order for $59.99. As of now, it has been confirmed that Call of Duty: Ghosts will seamlessly work on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. However, gamers are waiting for the game to be available for Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4.

Since long time Call of Duty and Battlefield series have competing with each other. Even though both the game has their own loyal customer base, both make good efforts to deliver the best gaming experience than the other. Recently, the Battlefield 4 was unveiled and since then Call of Duty fans have been excitedly waiting for the new edition of COD and finally Activision has confirmed the release date of the forthcoming COD game.

Is Xbox Infinity the Name for the Upcoming Xbox 720?

May 15, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

On May 21, Microsoft will be unveiling its all new next gaming console. Until now, there were lot of rumors on the name that was to be chosen for Xbox 720. Microsoft has already assigned Durango as the codename for the gaming console. The International Business Times UK has found through its Xbox development sources that the next gen gaming console from Microsoft will be called Xbox Infinity.

The year is going to quite competitive for Sony and Microsoft as both are planning to release their new gaming console. However, Sony has been consistent in releasing good information to its audience but Microsoft has not revealed much info on the Xbox 720. Only thing people know of it is that the Xbox 720 is going to be released very soon.

Till now, the forthcoming gaming console from Microsoft was being called by various names like the 720, Durango, Loop Xbox, Xbox Fusion, Xbox 8 and NeXtBox. In fact, Microsoft had recently registered domain names with the word ‘Fusion’ which made many gaming enthusiasts feel that Microsoft is going to name it Xbox Fusion. The new name has suddenly appeared out of nowhere and we hope it does settle all the rumors that are going around.

Do you think Xbox Infinity is a good name for the device? Official information on the name chosen by Microsoft and its specifications will be unveiled very soon. May 21st the day when you will come to know everything that you wanted to know about the Xbox 720 and it is the same day when the next title for the popular game Call of Duty will be announced. The demo version of the game will be played on the new Xbox Infinity on that day.

There is no new information on the release date of Xbox 720/Infinity. The product is expected to go on sale by the end of October this year. It is going to be available with features like Kinect 2.0, 3D technology and Xbox TV. The new gaming console will sport a new logo with the Xbox wording and Infinity wording at its upper right area. The ‘X’ of the Xbox will be green and even the infinity symbol  will be in green. The word ‘box’ will be in white font. The rumor seems to be pretty accurate at the moment. Still, we need to wait until May 21st to get official news from Microsoft on the Xbox 720.
