Xbox 720, Infinity, Fusion? Xbox One Released – Find Out Features of Microsoft Next Gen Xbox

May 21, 2013 By Sebastian Mc’Mannen Leave a Comment

As expected, Microsoft revealed the new edition of Xbox gaming console on Tuesday. The previous edition i.e. Xbox 360 was launched in 2005 which means Microsoft has released the new version of Xbox after 8 years. The next gen Xbox is named Xbox One. Until Tuesday, nobody had an iota of inclination that the new Xbox would be called Xbox One. In fact, many were considering names like Xbox Infinity, Xbox Fusion and Xbox 720.

The new Xbox is not just a gaming console but also it seamlessly integrates TV, web connectivity and gaming. The machine will also offer cloud storage, voice control and gesture technology. The new Xbox was unveiled at Microsoft’s campus located at Redmond, Washington. An executive from Xbox, Marc Whitten addressed the jam-packed hall by saying, “It changes everything.”

The new Xbox was designed not just for video game lovers but also for the entire family as a complete entertainment device. The device is built in such a way that it aims to revolutionize the way you watch TV and movies, play your favorite games, and listen to your favorite music and more. The Xbox One can also be used to measure your heartbeat.

We can clearly understand that Microsoft is aiming to target the family audience instead of simply concentrating on gaming audience. People who are eagerly waiting to purchase the Xbox One will have until the end of the year to buy it. At the event, Yusuf Mehdi, an executive from Microsoft demonstrated how well the device could be handled through voice commands. You can also use hand gestures for controlling your TV.

The Xbox One will feature 8GB RAM, Blu-ray drive, 500GB hard disk drive, and voice and motion detection. You will not be play any of the games that worked on the previous versions of Xbox gaming consoles. Microsoft did not announce any specific game at the event. Instead, they are planning to release 15 exclusive Xbox One games. Some of the Xbox games that will be available soon in the market include Quantum Break, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Fifa 14, NBA Live 14, UFC, Forza 5 and Madden 25.

Xbox Unveiling Event on Tuesday – Find Out What to Expect from the Next Gen Xbox

May 20, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

Microsoft is all set to unveil the next gen Xbox this Tuesday. Experts feel that instead of discussing on gaming features of Xbox, Microsoft will be focusing on announcing non-gaming features of the device.

Xbox
When Xbox came out in the market for the first time in 2005, it had to compete with the likes of Sony and Nintendo that were already ruling the gaming world. Now, the situation is completely different. Xbox has become one of the best selling gaming consoles as customers have spent more than $200 million in purchasing hardware, software and accessories this year which is comparatively more than any competitor console.

Tuesday’s event will be held at the enormous E3 gaming conference at LA. We feel that the event will be all about highlighting on the non-gaming features of the new Xbox. Michael Pachter who is an analyst from Wedbush Securities said that Microsoft has done well in developing a super multiplayer gaming device and this time around they have concentrated on the non-gaming features such larger hard drive space, Blu-ray drive, faster CPU and more memory.

By connecting to Netflix or Hulu, gamers can enjoy streaming-media on the next gen Xbox. Michael has also suggested that the new Xbox will also feature Internet TV. It won’t require you to connect to the internet when you are accessing Blu-ray drive and watching TV. Even when you are playing single player game, you won’t have to connect to the web.

Using the SmartGlass app, the Xbox 360 can be connected to smartphones and tablet PCs to turn them into a second screen. The next gen Xbox will feature even better connectivity between Xbox and other devices.

Microsoft has already acquired Skype two years ago. If Skype come bundled with the next Xbox, it will allow users to perform video chat while playing their favorite games. Even when users are not playing games, they can enjoy video conferencing.

Microsoft has not yet revealed the name of the forthcoming Xbox. Many feel that the new Xbox will be called Xbox Infinity. Also Microsoft has not revealed any info on the hardware. We hope that the next gen Xbox will be slimmer and very enticing as far as looks are concerned. The price of the console is going to be around $499. The console will be only announced at the Tuesday’s event and then Microsoft will advertise the product well before it is released. The event can be viewed live on the internet and Xbox Live.

Is Xbox Infinity the Name for the Upcoming Xbox 720?

May 15, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

On May 21, Microsoft will be unveiling its all new next gaming console. Until now, there were lot of rumors on the name that was to be chosen for Xbox 720. Microsoft has already assigned Durango as the codename for the gaming console. The International Business Times UK has found through its Xbox development sources that the next gen gaming console from Microsoft will be called Xbox Infinity.

The year is going to quite competitive for Sony and Microsoft as both are planning to release their new gaming console. However, Sony has been consistent in releasing good information to its audience but Microsoft has not revealed much info on the Xbox 720. Only thing people know of it is that the Xbox 720 is going to be released very soon.

Till now, the forthcoming gaming console from Microsoft was being called by various names like the 720, Durango, Loop Xbox, Xbox Fusion, Xbox 8 and NeXtBox. In fact, Microsoft had recently registered domain names with the word ‘Fusion’ which made many gaming enthusiasts feel that Microsoft is going to name it Xbox Fusion. The new name has suddenly appeared out of nowhere and we hope it does settle all the rumors that are going around.

Do you think Xbox Infinity is a good name for the device? Official information on the name chosen by Microsoft and its specifications will be unveiled very soon. May 21st the day when you will come to know everything that you wanted to know about the Xbox 720 and it is the same day when the next title for the popular game Call of Duty will be announced. The demo version of the game will be played on the new Xbox Infinity on that day.

There is no new information on the release date of Xbox 720/Infinity. The product is expected to go on sale by the end of October this year. It is going to be available with features like Kinect 2.0, 3D technology and Xbox TV. The new gaming console will sport a new logo with the Xbox wording and Infinity wording at its upper right area. The ‘X’ of the Xbox will be green and even the infinity symbol  will be in green. The word ‘box’ will be in white font. The rumor seems to be pretty accurate at the moment. Still, we need to wait until May 21st to get official news from Microsoft on the Xbox 720.
