The famous Casino Magnate named Sheldon Adelson has now hit a raw nerve. The lawsuits which have been filed against sands were brought from the side of the Hong Kong Businessman named, Richard Suen. He is in the search of nearly US $ 328 million which had given in terms of helping the US firm for the purpose of obtaining a number of casino licenses in the region of Macau. Macau is now the biggest gambling market in the whole world, which is one of the reasons for some of the wealthiest casinos are now located in the area. He also added that he was the one to be credited for transforming the gangland in one of the world’s most famous havens for the gamblers. The comments which have been made for the triads have generated a number of responses. This statement has also forced a former partner of Sands to place a filing in collaboration with the Hong Kong’s stock exchange. Most of the people are of the view that the statement made by Adelson are of an inaccurate nature.
Not to forget that Sands and Macau had also won a joint license in the year 2002. When Adelson had been asked in a US court that why both of the firms weren’t able to continue to work together as they did in the past years, he said that Galaxy had stated that were now preparing to do their business with some other triad people which we couldn’t afford which is the reason for which the split took place. This comment had managed to draw a lot of attention in Macau, but did not managed to gain some hype in the regions of Las Vegas. The comment had also pointed out indirectly that China had failed in their mission to clean out a number of gangs which were dominant in the area. A spokesperson from the side of the company had said that the company is now the phase of seeking some legal advice and is not able to make any further comments. So, what would be the impact of this statement in the gambling business markets in the US is still too early to say, but it is sure that Adelson has some purpose behind making these comments.
