Clinical trials have proved that the Ebola vaccine is 100% effective.

STATES CHRONICLE – The last trial had shown that the Ebola vaccine is truly 100% effective. The results of clinical trials were published revealing spectacular outcomes. The result of the study was published in Lancet magazine. The vaccine is entirely effective in preventing the Ebola virus. There were tested participants from Guinea and Sierra Leone. An international syndicate of researchers decided to test the effectiveness of a vaccine called rVSV-ZEBOV in a trial involving about nine thousand participants.

They were tested in 2015, during the Ebola outbreak in Africa. During the trial, 3,775 participants received the Ebola vaccine, and none of them proved to contract the Ebola virus in the next ten days after vaccinations. In the control group of 4,507 people, which included those who were not immediately vaccinated and those who did not develop any Ebola-related symptoms after treatment, 23 participants were infected.

In this way, the conclusion of the study was that immediate vaccination grants positive results, offering full protection against the onset of the dangerous virus. Michael Weinstein, the President of AHF, noted that they need to thank the researchers involved in the study for the work their job regarding the rVSV-ZEBOV virus.

This discovery which helps prevent one of the deadliest diseases in the world is a fantastic achievement for the field of medicine, global health, and security. This antidote will help scientists save many lives. Weinstein also argued that the best investments are those used for curing and treating infectious illnesses. These spendings are meant to save the world, revolutionizing the field of medicine due to researchers’ efforts to fuel the decline of Ebola cases.

Statistics have proved that every year about $36 billion are spent on Development Assistance for Health whereas $2 trillion are spent on defense. A portion of these $36 billion is used to develop cures for infectious diseases like SARS, Zika, and Ebola which represent a national threat. The Ebola virus has affected the AHF programs drawn up in West Africa, especially those created in Sierra Leone where this organization has been encouraging testing programs and treatment for HIV since 2009.

Unfortunately, due to Ebola outbreak, AHF lost two physicians. The first one was Dr. Sheik Humarr Khan, the one who was responsible for leading the Sierra Leone’s outcome to Ebola back in 2014. The other physician was Dr. John Taban Dada, a Ugandan national working and living in Monrovia. They had bought died because they contracted the dangerous disease.
