The next iPhone release date is going to arrive in September and apart from the usual black and white color, we may get to see new colored handset. According to new leaks, Apple is in the aim of launching a gold or champagne color iPhone 5S in September. If this rumor comes true, it would be the first time that Apple will be producing an iPhone in a different color since it debuted in 2007.

According to the leaks, Apple won’t go with gaudy appearing gold color but rather opt for subtle champagne colored shade for iPhone 5S. However, the gold color is not entirely new for Apple products. In the past, Apple had released a gold colored iPod Mini and the latest iPod is also available in yellow color which somewhat appears like gold.

iPhone 5S gold edition

Apple may be in the aim in bringing about classiness to its phones. The iPod which is mainly a product for listening to music and fun, the makers have made it available in vibrant colors. However, the iPhone 5 is an epitome of sophistication and simplicity and also an expensive product. Hence, Apple will be enriching the new iPhone 5S with none other gold color.

So, if you are conscious about your status symbol, the new iPhone 5S in gold color is just the thing for you. In China, gold colored products are quite famous. And Apple is now concentrating on gaining huge profits from the Asian markets. The chances of a gold iPhone 5S to release certainly seems possible.

Here is an interesting fact for you. In New York, 14 percent of the crimes committed in 2012 involved theft of Apple products like iPads and iPhones. So, the gold colored iPhone 5S owners will have to be very careful about their handsets. Good thing is Apple is introducing ‘activation lock’ feature in the upcoming iOS7 which will lock the stolen handsets even when robbers completely delete all the content from the phone.

The gold color is one of the easiest colors to anodize on a handset like iPhone. It is even easier than anodizing black color on iPhone. Also, the new iPhone is pegged to feature a fingerprint scanner which will remain hidden under the Home button.

One of the reasons why Apple is going to showcase a gold colored iPhone is that they are also going to release a low-budget iPhone 5C in September.

The gold iPhone will boast a classy appeal and will certainly attract buyers who can spend more money. For iPhone lovers who can’t spend such money can go for iPhone 5C. Apple will be focusing in releasing both the gold edition iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C in popular Asian markets like China and India.

What do you think about Apple’s move in producing a gold colored iPhone? Will it attract buyers? Are you interested in buying iPhone in more vibrant colors like blue, yellow, orange? All can be confirmed on the iPhone 5S release date, but do let us know your views.
